3D2N Trip to Batu Punggul, Sapulut. Batu Punggul is a limestone pinnacle located in the rainforest of Sapulut, Sabah, Borneo. Batu Punggul are famous for grade 4 hiking; and the newest activities is rock climbing & abseiling. Along the way to the basecamp, you will see few caves; the interesting rock formation inside is worth a visit. We're staying in one of the cave there, a very strategic location with 2 opening to access different area surrounding the cave. And about 5 - 10mins to the starting point (pondok) before hiking up to the peak of Batu Punggul. Instead of hiking down from the basecamp, we decided to abseil 40m down to the foothill. The experience was awesome. We're literally on survival mode, with no shower for 3days and no toilet! But nature provides :)
