The Air France plane, connecting Paris-Orly to Tunis had been diverted to Nice, following the assault of a flight attendant by a Muslim passenger who wanted to say his prayers in the corridor, in the cramped space at l entrance to the cockpit.
After the emergency landing in Nice decided immediately by the pilot, on seeing the video on his screen, the individual had been disembarked from the aircraft by four gendarmes. You will observe that this happens in the "galley" (in a way: the kitchen) and this, in view of the passengers in the cabin, since the separation curtain remained open…

*GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURE ON 50% EXCISE DUTY EXEMPTION TO TOUR OPERATORS FOR THE PURCHASE OF NEW LOCALLY ASSEMBLED TOURISM VEHICLES*

Dear Members,
Kindly be informed that the Government in Budget 2020 has agreed to grant *excise duty exemption of 50%* to tour operators for the purchase of new locally assembled tourism vehicles (Completely Knocked-Down - CKD) in line with Visit Malaysia 2020.
MATTA in its Budget 2020 proposals (presented to YB Tuan Lim Guan Eng on 17 September 2019 and a follow up meeting on 26 September 2019 with the top officials from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI)), had been asking the Government to priorities on several major incentives and tax exemption for the tourism industry.
This includes *exemption or review on excise duty* for tourism vehicles to encourage modernisation, which will allow tour operators a great window of opportunity to replace the aging vehicles at much reduced cost and provide greater comfort to tourists during Visit Malaysia 2020.
MATTA is delighted with the support given by the Ministry of Finance and will continue to work closely with the Government ministries to sustain emerging improvement and bring tourism industry to greater heights.
This duty exemption is applicable to the application received by Ministry of Finance from 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2021.
