DIVING AT SIPADAN | If you don’t already have Sipadan on your bucket list, you’re missing out on some of the best diving in Asia! Permits to enter the island are limited and always at high demand, so make sure you book in advance to secure your spot.

As of 1 October 2022, divers require a recognised Advanced Open Water certification to dive in the strictly protected waters of the island. Certifications are verified at the island before the first dive, so make sure you have a physical card, copy or a screenshot of your certification and identification documents to avoid disappointment.

TUN SAKARAN MARINE PARK | Snorkel or dive with an abundance of marine life at the breathtaking Tun Sakaran Marine Park, which is the largest marine park in Sabah. Our day trip covers three islands - Bohey Dulang, Mantabuan and Sibuan. The highlight of this route is the optional but highly recommended hike at Bohey Dulang, which rewards hikers with a picture-perfect postcard view at the top of the hill. DID YOU KNOW that there are only three accommodation providers at Laban Rata, which is a compulsory stop for climbers of Mount Kinabalu?

Sutera Sanctuary Lodges provides mid to high budget accommodation in the main building known as Laban Rata Resthouse (pictured). Their inhouse restaurant is located at the ground floor of the building, giving their guests easiest access to the buffet meals served to all climbers.

Sabah Parks offers the most budget friendly option with their Lemaing and Panalaban Hostels. Lemaing Hostel can only be booked by Malaysians and PR holders, whereas Panalaban is open to international climbers as well.

Finally, Mountain Torq operates Pendant Hut, which caters to thrill seekers who opt to conquer the peak on the Via Ferrata.
