Nature tour is interesting esp the aborigine village where the women shy away and the men 'RUN' away only to reappear with their fire making and blowpipe hunting tools for a demo. Very naive people with the rainforest as their SUPERMARKET.
Soon they are no more as deforestation and rehabilitation is digging into them. Its a bulldozer effect.

You know some tourists have even cried seeing their plight.

In Taman Negara the friendliest mammal that visits the Mutiara Resort for food (usually ) veggies is the adorable Tapir. Tapirs are herbivorous mammals and they weigh from 300 - 700 pounds. Their best features are their unique nose which augurs well for its eating habits. Their population is declining due to habitat loss and poaching. Poaching is controllable but not habitat loss. The picture shows the friendly and adorable Tapir enjoying a rub down by one of the Taman Negara Guides and I was really thrilled by the scene.
