陆兆福今日与旅游、艺术及文化部长拿督斯里张庆信一同重新激活停摆多年的大马邮轮理事会会议后，召开记者会时提及交通部将制定“马来西亚邮轮旅游路线图”，这份文件将作为政府机构实施发展大马邮轮业的指南，以进一步增强我国邮轮业，亦符合2026年大马旅游年的目标。

陆兆福继指交通部亦将推出4项举措推动邮轮业发展，包括发展邮轮设施、加大邮轮推销力度，宣传当地景点、设立邮轮业发展基金和简化海关事务、出入境检疫流程。

马来西亚也会在2026年举办亚太邮轮大会，举办这一享有声誉的活动表明大马已准备好成为东南亚地区主要邮轮枢纽，并进一步吸引更多邮轮公司参与其中，以大马为母港。
