We just wrapped up an amazing 3-day, 2-night camping trip with friends at Taman Eko Rimba Komanwel in Rawang. This park is a perfect getaway with its lush greenery and serene atmosphere.
We set up our tents near the scenic man-made mini waterfall, where we enjoyed listening to the chirping of birds and the sound of flowing water.The campsite is well-maintained with clean restrooms and good security. Our evenings were spent grilling BBQ, steamboat dinner , having fun and joys surrounded by the campsite decorations, illuminated by various lights, which created a magical ambiance.🏕️🥰
During the day, we simply relaxed and soaked in the natural beauty, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the sounds of nature. The park’s excellent facilities and family-friendly environment made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Our 3D2N trip was refreshing and memorable. Highly recommend Taman Eko Rimba Komanwel for a fun and peaceful camping experience with friends and family.

Yanagawa in Fukuoka Prefecture, often dubbed Japan’s own version of Venice, is indeed a picturesque destination. It boasts peaceful canals weaving through an old town adorned with traditional storehouses, narrow lanes, and willow trees gently dipping into the water.

The canals serve as the main attraction in Yanagawa. Tourists have the opportunity to embark on boat rides, guided by locals dressed in traditional Japanese attire. During the journey, these guides share captivating tales about the city’s rich history.

Originally spanning about 470 kilometers, the canals were initially constructed for irrigation purposes to support local agriculture. However, as industrialization progressed and agricultural activities declined, the canals evolved into a scenic wonder, drawing in tourists to appreciate Yanagawa’s natural beauty.

Siniawan is located about 20 kilometers away from Kuching city and holds historical significance within the state, particularly due to its past as a mining town and its preservation of heritage architecture. Siniawan's cultural heritage, including its traditional buildings and the ambiance of its weekend night market, contributes to its status as a recognized heritage site within Sarawak attracting both locals and tourists interested in experiencing its cultural charm.
I suggest visiting the night market earlier to appreciate the architecture before dusk when the market fully comes to life. Arriving early allows you to enjoy the scenery without the tables and chairs lining the streets, which can sometimes obstruct the view.
The emphasis at the night market leans more towards food rather than shopping, with a variety of stalls offering items like long sausages (which again reflects the Taiwan influence) and buns. Unique to Bau and Sarawak are specialties like "pitcher plant rice" and "bamboo chicken." Towards the end of the street, one shop house has been transformed into a homestay.

Getting there:
It's uncertain if there's public transit to Siniawan during the evening. Your best bet is to either join a tour or rent a car. Keep in mind that the road to Siniawan can be quite dark at night since there are no street lights.

Opening Hours: the night market is held on Fridays to Sundays 6pm – 11pm

The famous food stalls, known as yatai, in Fukuoka, are situated along the river on Nakasu Island. Every evening, temporary food stalls pop up throughout the city, attracting both locals and visitors. At yatai, people often savor grilled chicken skewers (yakitori), hot pot (oden), and the renowned Hakata Ramen—a local noodle dish with thin ramen noodles in a pork bone-based soup (tonkotsu). Alongside these, you can find a variety of alcoholic drinks. Yatai not only offers delicious food but also provides an excellent opportunity to connect with the locals. Interestingly, many of these "locals" are Japanese tourists exploring Fukuoka from different parts of Japan.

The yatai usually operate from 6 pm to 2 am, with closures on bad weather days. Many stalls also have one specific day off, often on Sundays. Popular stalls, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, may have some waiting time.
