Hiroshima is often referred to as "City of Peace" due to its historical significance and effort to promote global peace whilst taking into account of its history that has become a symbol of resilience.

Explore the historic and cultural landmark including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Travel further northwest of Hiroshima to Itsukushima Island or more known as Miyajima Island, ride the ferry and you will be able to see the iconic floating torii gate and visit the deer park.

Did you know?
One of the top 10 cycling routes in the world is actually in Japan!

The Shimanami Kaido cycling route connects Honshu to Shikoku via a series of bridges spanning approximately 70 kilometres while offering breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea and picturesque landscapes. It also the only route that accommodates cyclists among the three land connections.

Reachable by taking a bullet train to Fukuyama-station and a normal train on the Sanyo line to Onomichi Station. From there, cyclists or travelers can rent a bicycle. Bikes can be rented or dropped off at any of the 14 bike depots along the route!

Once you reach Imabari City at the end of the route, you can choose to either take the ferry to go back to Hiroshima prefecture in Honshu, or continue on your adventure into Shikoku, The Four Provinces!
