It is a blessing when Suzanne and her wonderful family (Husband Robert, daughter Sophie and son Tobias) visit Malaysia and make it a point to catch up with my mum and I over a meal.
After a scrumptious dinner, I decided we should go on a night market adventure to stuff ourselves even more! (Such a Malaysian thing!)
Twas a good evening indeed.
Thank you for the amazing gifts and Robert! (port wine and cheese yeayy!!!). Hope to see everyone again next year! ❀️❀️❀️

Once in a while, I would come across guests who within a span of a few tours become fast friends, exchanging stories and laughter as if we were old friends. That was how it was with Priya and Priyanshi. One would not believe we just had you listen into our hilarious conversations.
I am a big believe of our souls recognizing one another. This was one of them.
It was such fun showing them around Melaka and getting them to try nyonya cuisine. To them, was out of this world! (which I agree)
Thank you Sanjeev for elevating the experience and sprinkling your magic to make it a memorable adventure!
Until we meet for our next adventure ladies! 🎊❀️

It was such a pleasure meeting Karl and his family who is of Lebanese descent. During briefing Karl's father introduced himself as Ibrahim. Bring mindful of his name I asked everyone if they required halal food. To my surprise they told me they were Christians, so they could eat anything.
While conversing with Ibrahim when we were at a mamak restaurant, Ibrahim shared that Lebanese people practice different faiths, including Christianity and Islam. And they speak French as well as Lebanon was a former French colony. Karl and brother Serge shared that people would give them a confused look as they would switch between English, French and Arabic πŸ˜‚
and .its.karl were obvious big food lovers! Bringing them to the new Pasar Besar at Pasar Seni was like bringing kids to a candy store haha! They bought whatever I recommended! was getting hungry waiting for them to be done with shopping for snacks πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
May you all enjoy your time in Malaysia and may we meet again for more adventures!

to the first tour of 2024 with Daniel and Sandra from Vienna, Austria.
It warmed my heart when they mentioned to be that they specifically came to Malaysia for their winter holiday. Many guests I come across tend to stopover in K.L for a very short time before moving to other places like Bali, Thailand, and Singapore.
I would always encourage them to come and spend more time in Malaysia (East and West) as we have so much to offer!
May we meet again for more adventures Daniel and Sandra!

Closing 2023 with a food tour with the lovely couple .p__ and .ye3 from Sydney! The highlight was their gleefulness at buying local items like Ipoh white coffee and Kaya (coconut jam) for themselves and loved ones back home 😁

Little did I know the neighbourhood Bak Ku Teh (pork meat with herbal soup) restaurant in Kepong was awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand!
This was one place I'd say deserves the award. Amazing food at affordable prices! It is no wonder their four shoplots are packed, even before the award was given.

to hosting the lovely French couple Emilie and Damien who was spending a couple of weeks in KL for work/leisure purpose.
It was a hoot to host them as they were thoroughly enjoying the food I presented to them while we were on the food tour.
We met up for drinks a couple of days later to catch up. These two lovelies were in the creative industry (animation) which I find so cool!
Here is hoping we will meet again in the near future! Be it in KL or France!
p.s: thank you for being my personal grab heheheh 😎✌️❀️

They say learning never stops! And indeed it does not.
I had the pleasure of learning from Pauline, founder of Simply Enak, one of the pioneers of food tours in Kuala Lumpur. Under her tutelage, I experienced a different side of Petaling Street aka Chinatown.
Thank you for the invitation to part of your team Pauline. I look forward to working with Simply Enak!

to hosting a food tour with Thanh and Mai, a lovely Vietnamese couple living in California.
While they were happily eating away, Thanh mentioned that the last time he was here it was 45 years ago! He was in Malaysia (Pulau Besar ro be exact) in a refugee camp at Pulau Besar, waiting to be relocated to the U.S. he spent a week in KL before flying off. Mai was in Malaysia for about a year before relocating to U.S to begin her new chapter.
Thanh mentioned that they are grateful to Malaysia for sheltering them while they make their way to their new home in U.S. It warmed my heart upon hearing this.
Happily ever after usually exists in Disney cartoons but this right here is as close as it can get ❀️

I had the honor of collaborating and hosting the spousal program for the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) conference on the 25th and 26th of September.
The two day spousal program was tailormade to allow spouses of participants who attended the conference to discover Kuala Lumpur and her melting pot of culture, food and religion while their partners were busy with the conference.
One of the highlights for the guests was when we went to the Royal Selangor Pewter visitor center. They absolutely loved the beautiful handcrafted items. Almost everyone went back with a merchandise in tow.
My personal highlight was observing them enjoy the variety of food for those two days (food tours are my thing after all!) Pelita Nasi Kandar was a definite hit for them 😁
I would like to thank and the PAQS committee for entrusting me with the 2 day tour. I look forward to working you again in the near future πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
