As I plan my strategy for 2025, I realise my shortcomings. I am very much old school, the speed of technology is overwhelming for me. We are 2 ladies who have been in hospitality for nearly 3 decades. We believe in wholesome conversations, personal touches, a little peace and quiet and background chill music.
All meals are home made and prepared from scratch.
We like to attract guests who just want to get away, have a good night's sleep and enjoy good food.
2025 will be an exciting year as we plan to include nature programs such as kayaking, tubing, hiking,etc. Apart from the must visit island trips of course.😄 Seriously, Setiu Wetlands has so much to offer. We hope you will join us to experience our hospitality, meals, packages and our friendship.

Our guests from Casablanca provided us an insight to another realm other than our routine of cook-clean-and tend to the garden..
Anyone who hears the word Casablanca will think of the movie or the song about it(well mostly)
But we got to meet and talk to people who live there, to learn of their food and culture, of places to visit..how wonderful it sounds!
They sat at the dinner table and went on excitedly about how they swam with turtles on their island day trip whilst nibbling on the crispy poppadoms served with beef curry and stir fried king prawns..
Yes, it was a good day today. Nice knowing you dear friends from Casablanca. 🤗

We invited our first time guests for dinner. Over a plate of fish soufflé, potatoes and Veggies, we ended up talking close to midnight!
That's what we love about being live-in hosts, you never know when you'll meet souls that you feel a connection with. We talked about many things, travels, energy healing and spiritual enlightenment.
I'm glad to be here, glad to attract all kinds of people and listen to their stories. I don't have a single tiktok ad and am not on booking.com but I know the right people will find us. Are you one of them?🫣

More than 20 years of friendship, who came as guests when we had A -frame huts at Perhentian Island, are now our closest friends and every now and then we gather again and reminisce, badly missing our other friends who are not with us..( You know who you are!😉)

We had the awesome privilege of getting to know this family from Selangor. They stayed 3 nights, did a day trip to Redang and a full day at KT town. Left the apartment as if untouched, what a gem!! Thanks guys!🙂

Back to blue skies and blue sea. It's been a while.

It's been a while since my last update. These past 3 months have been rather hectic. We've had 90% occupancy for 3 months in a row. Alhamdulillah. International guests have been from France, Poland, US, Brunei, Netherlands, Yemen and Germany. Possibly due to summer break. During the school holidays, we had many Malaysian small families stay with us, heck, even a group of superbikers!😅
Airbnb reviews have all been 5 stars much to our delight. Thank you to all the guests for that!🤗
Our main priority was to provide top notch customer service, even providing concierge service. We especially kept our place at low density occupancy, only 5 sometimes 6 in each apartment at a time. Max. We have 14 main house rules which covers the basics- no loud noise after 10pm, TURN OFF AC when you go out( my pet peeve)etc, etc.😅
I would say staying at Escape is from the old school era, caretakers are around 24/7, anything broken or needed fixing is seen to almost immediately. Hosts greet you and will sit down and talk to you if that's what you like, or we completely stay out of your way so you can have all the peace and privacy you came for.
We are about 10 to 20 minutes drive to shops and restaurants and the stone's throw ( literally) beach is usually deserted enough for the landing off the wonderful turtles to lay their eggs. Heaven.
Hotel type guests may not enjoy what we don't offer- no room service, no swimming pool( why? We have a beautiful sea with calm waters)No buffet breakfast, no bell hop, no gym. Etc, etc.
So for the selected few, this maybe what you are looking for:
Peace and quiet.Close to Nature.
Inspiring sunrise to view.
Modern amenities such as free WiFi, your own kitchen and washing machine, flatscreen with Netflix, fully air-conditioned or airy spaces when you open up the balcony doors and let the sea breeze envelope the whole apartment..
To prevent mushrooming scammers, we are only found on Airbnb, Google business,FB and IG. I rarely pick up calls( too many robotic scammers telling me to press a button to speak to an officer)Just WhatsApp me with number of guests( Including children please)check in and check out dates and I'll get back to you.No calls pls.
