Hoi An is located in Quang Nam Province, Central Vietnam. Peaceful and ancient, Hoi An is one of the most famous tourist destination in the Central Vietnam that attracts not only domestic tourists but also tourists from over the continents.

Hoi An, once a major Southeast Asian trading post in the 16th and 17th centuries, is basically a living museum that houses old-town architecture.Some notable heritage buildings include Chinese temples, a Japanese-designed bridge, pagodas, wooden shop-houses, French-colonial houses, and old canals. Although large-scale trading had long moved elsewhere, Hoi An has been successful in preserving and restoring its charming roots and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in December 1999.

Tanjung Datu National Park is a 2-hour drive from the gateway capital of Kuching and another 10 mins by boat from Telok Melano Village.

The park is situated on the Datu Peninsular on the south western tip of Sarawak. Half of the peninsular is situated within Sarawak and the other portion lies in Indonesia.

Described as the ‘Heaven of Borneo’, visitors to the park will be greeted by towering trees when they enter its forest. Unique to the park is the Banded Langur monkey. Other stellar inhabitants of the forest are the Bornean gibbon, long tail and pig-tailed macaques, bearded pigs, bearcat, civet cat, tufted ground squirrels, peacocks, mouse deer, barking deer, sambar deer, porcupine and hornbills.

Gunung Gading National Park is located near the small town of Lundu in Southwest Sarawak, about 2 hours drive from Kuching.

It is home to numerous plants including the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia tuan – mudae (bunga pakma). A trip to Gunung Gading may be incomplete without catching the rare sight of the blooming Rafflesia. However, these unique plants bloom infrequently and have brief flowering period.

At full bloom this giant flower stretches nearly one meter in width. It stays in full bloom for about a week only. The main pollinator for this flower is the carrion fly.
