Started a while back and I would say the support is overwhelming although in a matter of fact in comes slow, real slow but, steady.

This page was built to provide an idea, a recommendation, to those who have never had their feet touched on this island, absolutely for free! (Tip me if you want)

It's kinda like an awareness campaign to spread the word that wonderful memories are not necessarily built on big stacks of money. Sometimes, what may seems to be simple and boring amaze you the most.

Once again, really appreciate the support guys and do share it with your friends and if they do have any enquiries or doubts, I will not be hesitate to help if they need it!

Also taking this chance to wish everyone who celebrates it, a PROSPEROUS CHINESE NEW YEAR, MAY THE ROOSTERS WAKE UP YOUR ANGEL in the POND OF WEALTH.

PS: If any of you guys happens to come down to visit the island during the first day of CNY 28th January 2017 - 4th day of CNY 31th of February 2017, feel free to buzz me up and I can bring you around the island for a walk and taste the yummiest seafood around!

In recent month, Pulau Ketam Arts Organisation organised an international event, invited artists from around the globa to join in and make it fun during the Pulau Ketam International Art Festivals.

Talented artistes unleashed their creativity and innovation and everyone has come up with perfectly sensational craft!

And this is one of the example! Come to Pulau Ketam and visit the exhibition to see how past and present blend so well!

So what do you know much about Pulau Ketam?

Fun fact: Pulau Ketam is name after crabs because in Bahasa Melayu (official language of Malaysia), Ketam means crab. As the name suggested, the crabs are what brought this place from a desolated island to the one that is known for its unique culture and experience.

As three Hainanese came to the island and discovered the crabs at its superior quality, they started to catch them and bring it to land for sells. As the demand increases, they decided to stay at the island permanently and slowly the growth expands greatly.

Because of the wonderful natural gift, it spreads out and attracted more people to stay on the island, that's how it grew to its current population of 6 to 7 thousands people.

This island is very populated with Chinese and fewer Malays where 90% speaks either Mandarin or dialects such as Teochew, Hokkien and Hainan. Only a minority speaks English. Malays are mostly equipped by police forces, nurses and also teachers. Without them, welfare of Pulau Ketam could not be taken care well.
