Finally, after 2 years of border closure.

The long awaited announcement from yesterday's press conference by our Prime Minister

Malaysia will reopen its border to international visitors from April 1, allowing travellers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter the country without quarantine.

Visitors will be required to undergo pre-departure tests (RT-PCR) and upon-arrival tests (RTK-Antigen under professional supervision) 24 hours after arrival.

However, the government will only be able to share further guidelines in a few weeks.

We will definitely inform all our trade partners soon with products and opportunities!

The Langkawi International Travel Bubble
Good news for International Travellers that have received their booster shot (3rd dose)
Stay only for 4 nights and exit on the 5th day to anywhere in Malaysia. Policy remains for those who only received 2 doses.

This is how the daily testing schedule look like
Day 1: PCR (on arrival in KLIA / Lgk airport for direct flight)
Day 2: self administered saliva test ( posted to mysejahtera)
Day 3: RT-AG
Day 4: RT-PCR
Day 5: free to exit

if your flight out of Langkawi is late in the evening, instead of the RT PCR on Day 4, replace with a self administered saliva test and then a RT AG test.

✅There is a lot of documents to go through with each client. Once it is done, it is hassle free through our immigrations.

Travelling has become more exciting as border restrictions updates so frequently. testings become more rigorous, quarantine rules prevail and transit times now extended.

However the opportunity to reunite with loved ones after 2 long years for many is priceless. Being claustrophobic in your own country, and now a chance to be free, seems tempting.

Outlining the simplified version of the Langkawi International Travel Bubble guidelines.

What are the ✅✅✅
✅ An island quarantine vs hotel room quarantine
✅ Malaysians residing a road coming home who is unable to get the MTP / Malaysian multiple passports ( spouse / children )
✅ Expatriates living in Malaysia with spouse/ friends/ family abroad who wish to reunite
✅ Travellers who would like to visit Malaysia beyond a week. Post the quarantine period of 7 nights, free to travel anywhere in Malaysia on the 8th day with a negative PCR result.
✅ The charm of Langkawi and being able to laze around the beautiful beach.

Some facts for consideration: The Hard Truth
💡Cost of the package is significantly higher due to the RT PCR, RT Antigen accompanied by a licensed Tour Guide and Private Vehicle and saliva test kit
💡For cases where you are tested positive, the hotel for quarantine and the quarantine center /hospital.
💡Cash on hand for medical coverage first whilst claiming from the medical insurance
💡 Cancellation charges that maybe incurred due to being Covid positive.
