Batik Air is thrilled to launch a new direct route from Kuala Lumpur to Sandakan, its third destination in Sabah, alongside Kota Kinabalu and Tawau.

Starting December 1, 2024, this route will connect KLIA to Sandakan with 14 weekly flights, operating twice daily on Boeing 737 aircraft and offering both Economy and Business Class.

Sandakan, the "Gateway to Borneo’s Wildlife," gives travellers access to eco-tourism gems like the Sepilok Orangutan Centre and Turtle Islands Park, as well as historical sites like the Sandakan Memorial Park.

Visitors can also explore Sandakan’s historical sites, including the Sandakan Memorial Park and Agnes Keith House, which offer insights into Sabah’s wartime history and colonial heritage.
