✨A Memorable Visit by Johor's Unity, Heritage, and Culture Committee✨

On 21 January 2025, we had the honor of hosting the esteemed delegation led by YB Tuan Kumar a/l Kirshnasamy, Chairman of the Johor Unity, Heritage, and Culture Committee, at Sarawak Cultural Village. Despite the rainy weather, their enthusiasm shone brightly throughout the visit! 🌧️✨

The day began with a warm Orang Ulu dance welcome at the entrance, followed by a scenic walk across our iconic bamboo bridge to the historic Baruk Lama. 🛖

The delegation then immersed themselves in Sarawak's rich cultural heritage:
🌿 Bidayuh longhouse – they tried traditional dances.
🏡 Iban longhouse – they enjoyed "kuih chap" and participated in the Iban dance.
🏹 Penan Hut – they experienced the thrill of blowpipe activities.

The visit ended with a spectacular Cultural Show at Budaya Theater at 4 PM. YB Tuan Kumar joined the Orang Ulu dance by blowing balloons on stage and even danced alongside the performers during the grand finale! 🎶💃

🌟 SIRIM Berhad Visits Sarawak Cultural Village! 🌟

On Saturday, 18 January 2025, we had the honor of hosting the Chairman of SIRIM Berhad,The Board of Directors, the President and Group Chief Executive Officer, and the SIRIM Management Team at Sarawak Cultural Village.

The visit began with a delightful lunch at Budaya Restaurant, featuring the flavorful Sarawak Ethnic Kitchen Premium Highlander dishes. A special highlight of the day was the presentation of a surprise birthday cake to Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, Deputy Secretary General (Investment & Management) of MITI, in celebration of her birthday yesterday! 🎂✨

The group then embarked on an enriching tour, exploring our ethnic houses, including the Baruk Bidayuh and Iban Longhouse, and even trying out the traditional ethnic dances along the way. The visit concluded with a vibrant cultural show at Budaya Theater, where they joined the dancers on stage for a lively performance and captured wonderful memories in photos. 💃📸

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Damai Golf & Country Club (DGCC) and Damai Beach Resort (DBR) for lending us the buggies, which made it easier for our guests to enjoy their tour around SCV. 🙏✨

🌟Boney M Visits Sarawak Cultural Village!🌟

On 7 January 2025, we had the incredible honor of welcoming the legendary disco group Boney M to Sarawak Cultural Village! Known for timeless hits like Rivers of Babylon and Daddy Cool, Boney M has left an unforgettable mark on the global music scene. 🎶✨

Their visit was filled with joy and cultural immersion, starting with a warm welcoming dance and the mesmerizing sounds of the sape. They then savored the Sarawak Ethnic Kitchen Premium Highlander lunch at Restaurant Budaya before embarking on a tour of our iconic ethnic houses, Baruk Bidayuh, Iban Longhouse, Penan Hut, and Orang Ulu Longhouse.

At every stop, they embraced the spirit of Sarawak by trying out traditional dances, making the experience even more vibrant—rain or shine! 🌧️🌿

The day continued with a visit to the Budaya Theater, where they watched our lively cultural show and even joined our dancers on stage for a fun-filled dance session, creating beautiful memories and snapping photos together. 💃📸
