Night diving at our house reef 'Awas' is an octopus lover's dream! These intelligent creatures come out to hunt after dark, showing off their incredible color-changing abilities. And at Kapalai, during the day, you might spot the deadly but beautiful blue-ring octopus!

Mind-blowing octopus facts:
🧠 They have 9 brains! One main brain, plus 8 mini-brains (one in each arm)
💪 Those suckers are STRONG! An octopus the size of a human could pull up to 35 metric tons
🎨 They can change both color AND texture in less than a second to match their surroundings perfectly

Sea turtles: the gardeners of our oceans 🐢

These gentle giants play a crucial role in our marine ecosystem. They maintain healthy seagrass beds, keep jellyfish populations in check, and transport essential nutrients across our oceans. Yet, all seven species of sea turtles are endangered.

That's why hatcheries are so vital. Right here in the Celebes Sea, both Sipadan Island (managed by Sabah Parks) and our **ieseas hatchery in Mabul work tirelessly to protect these incredible creatures. Since 2011, our Mabul hatchery alone has released over 22,000 hatchlings back into the ocean!
Want to see conservation in action? The countless turtle encounters at our dive sites tell the success story - it's common to spot up to 20 turtles in a single dive at Sipadan! Each one represents hope for the species' future.

This is Panglima Reef's guardians!

Where currents converge at Mabul's corner, this vibrant dive site shows us both nature's beauty and our impact on it. Here, you might spot anything from curious turtles at the cleaning station to eagle rays gliding by in the blue.

But being a current convergence point means Panglima also collects what we don't want in our oceans. That's why our team regularly heads out for reef cleanups, turning our days off into days on for ocean conservation.
Because every reef matters, every action counts. 🌊
