Sandalwood Forest (Qingyuan) Co., Ltd. was jointly established in April 2012 by Sandalwood Forest Holdings Co., Ltd which is focussed on environmental protection and green industries and jointly established with Qingyuan Jinjiyan Industrial Co., Ltd. With re
gistered capital of 38 million Hong Kong dollars, it is a Chinese-foreign cooperative enterprise in cooperation with South China Botanic Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Covering an area of 2,500 mu, the first large-scale project of sandalwood planting is located in Longjing Town, Qingxin District, Qingyuan City. It has planted 200,000 sandalwood trees, aiming to build an all-round sandalwood industry chain that integrates planting, production, processing, research, development, culture, tourism, branding and sales. With a projected investment of RMB 500 million Yuan, the project is plan to plant 6 million of Sandanwood (Santalum album L.) to become the largest sandalwood production base in China, making Qingyuan City to be the “Home of Sandalwood”. At present, the Company has finished the infrastructure, construction and planting work of the first planting base, set up the Seedling Cultivation Centre in Sankeng Town, developed the Rare Plant Garden and Indian Sandalwood Planting Demonstration Base in Jinjiyan Scenic Spot. It has also built the first Sandalwood Themed Cultural Centre in China and set up an Exclusive Sandalwood Retail Shop. All in all, its aim to build a comprehensive sandalwood industry chain has begun. The low-carbon, environment-friendly forest planting industry can undoubtedly get policy support from the country and governments and so become a promising industry and benefit the society, in accord with the Report of the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, setting out the requirements for vigorously promoting ecological progress and building a beautiful China.

清远市檀香林业有限公司成立于2012年4月，由专注环保及绿色产业的香港檀香山控股有限公司及清远著名民营企业——清远市金鸡岩实业有限公司与共同成立的中外合作企业，公司注册资金高达3800万港币，其协作单位是中国科学院华南植物园，该院檀香专家马国华博士也应聘成为技术总顾问。
公司首个大型檀香种植项目计划，位于清远市清新县龙颈镇，占地2500亩，已种植了20万棵檀香树，打造檀香种植、生产、加工、研发、文化、旅游、品牌及销售全方位一体化的全方位檀香产业链为目标。整个项目预计投资5亿元，种植印度白檀600万株，成为全国最大的檀香生产基地，使清远市成为“檀香之乡”。
在短短的2年内，公司就已完成首个种植基地的工作，二十万棵生长速度喜人的檀香树遍布14个山头，美景处处，具备了发展旅游业及林下经济的潜能。而仅以20万棵檀香树计算，在未来10年，可为公司带来最少100亿的收入。檀香产业的高价值实力一览无遗。
公司也在三坑镇设立了育苗中心，拥有6座大苗棚，年产30万棵檀香苗及其他各类寄主植物幼苗，能够给市场供应最好的檀香苗及完整的技术配套转移。育苗卖苗可以协助公司快速取得盈利，也能真正落实推动檀香种植工作，提早完成10万亩种植基地的目标。而檀香苗的市场规模，仅清远市一地，若适合种植的土地仅百分之十改种檀香，需3千万棵树苗！
而在檀香主题旅游方面的规划，公司已在清远金鸡岩风景区建立了全国首个檀香主题珍稀植物园及印度白檀种植示范基地，再加上全国首家以檀香为主题的檀香文化馆，让每个月约2万游客获得檀香科普及享受檀香的机会。
上述的檀香旅游设施，还附设了檀香产品专卖店，销售以檀香山Sandalwood Forest为为品牌的各类檀香产品，让檀香文化更加生活化，可以覆盖到各个层面的顾客。在未来甚至会有檀香主题酒店的规划，大力推动檀香文化的落地。打造全方面产业链的目标已略见规模。
