Kingfisher Lake International Children’s College is an independent or private school in Mozambique, welcoming children from 18 months to grade ten. It is located midway between the City of Inhambane and Tofo village, 500kms north of Maputo. The Gecko class took their turn visiting the vet — and it’s safe to say the highlight (especially for one very lucky pup) was the doggy spa treatment! 🐶🧼💚

Our second-youngest class in kindergarten had the best time learning about animal care, asking great questions, and giving this very patient dog all the love (and a LOT of brushing).

🐾 It was a tail-wagging success!

🐾 Sea Turtles Visit the Vet!
Our Sea Turtles class took a fun and educational trip to the local vet, where they learned all about how animals are cared for and treated. A hands-on experience filled with curiosity, learning, and lots of wagging tails! 🐶🐱

🎨 Pointillism & Tea Time with Grade 7/8!
Our Grade 7 and 8 students explored Pointillism—a technique that uses tiny dots of colour to create a full image. By placing primary colour dots close together, students discovered how the eye blends them into secondary colours from a distance. These beautiful Pointillist Miniatures are just the beginning as we prepare for a larger mixed media project using… tea bags! 🍵
Yes, we even had a tea break—because every good canvas starts with a good brew.

⚡🔬 Grade 9 Chemistry in Action!
Our Grade 9 students transformed pencils into science tools during an exciting electrolysis experiment. Using copper sulfate, they explored how electricity can split compounds and how copper can be deposited onto graphite—watching chemistry come to life as copper plated onto pencil leads. Real learning, real curiosity, real fun!

Yesterday was full of joy, laughter, and celebration as we honoured our incredible students. From face paint and fun activities to special surprises, the day was a huge success — thanks to the amazing effort of our Student Body Organisation (SBO) and other high school students, who organised a fun-filled experience for our primary learners.

Happy Children’s Day! 🌟
Today we’re celebrating the joy, laughter, and magic that children bring into our lives every single day! 🥰

Last week Friday, our little ones kicked off the celebrations early with a beautiful Culture Day at preschool — and what a joyful day it was! 🎉 It was such a delight to see the children dressed up in traditional attire, proudly sharing their heritage and learning about the beautiful cultures that make up our Kingfisher family. 🌍💛

The energy, the colours, the stories — it was a heartwarming reminder of the beauty in diversity and togetherness.
