Dear all,

First I would like to thank all of you that been playing an important roll on this fase that Mozambique it’s facing.

We living atypical moments, moments that never been faced in Mozambique

We really hope this bad storm goes away as soon as possible.

It’s our duty and responsibility as Tourism Operators to explain and guid our visitors or guests, informing about road conditions, high spots of strikes, all Borders situations or day conditions and even do the follow up of their journey until they reach the destination.

It’s also our duty and responsibility to don’t send or display fake news, if we didn’t face the issue let’s not speculate the issue.

It’s our duty and responsibility to don’t just forward without do research of what we are forwarding.

It is our duty to inform our guests that Lodges Resorts, hotels and other accommodation services will not be able to refund any amount of the reservation already made, firstly because any amount paid or received in bank accounts is subject to the payment of tax on that amount.

Although as the same amount is used to prepare the proper reception of the same tourists or guests.

It is up to us Tour Operators to be honest and know how to negotiate so that by not using the reservation this time, the same booking can be used for the next time without changing the previest amount agreed with the customer.

As FEMOTUR, we will provide full support to tourists so that no tourist establishment harms tourists.

We hope it’s no cancellations because on Tourism áreas as PONTA DO OURO, MACANETA, BILENE, XAI XAI, CHIZAVANE CHIDENGUELE ZAVORA LINGA LINGA, ALL INHAMBANE BEACH until INHASSORO. ARE NOT PLACES OF STRIKE OR ANY SIMILAR ISSUE.

TOURISM IN MOZAMBIQUE !!!!!
I am not the official spokes person for the Tourism sector by far, however i believe my colleagues and counterparts will agree that we need to speak up after this challenging past week. We have all received scores of calls and mails re this up coming silly season from our guests re there bookings and holidays, it is very difficult to summarise this in short, but i want to assure our guests and clients that not one single lodge in Mozambique was damaged or even close threatened by this political uproar. The Komatipoort border was very much affected and damaged and as a result officially closed for 3 days, the border was reopened again today and small cars and trailers are flowing in and out. At the lodges it is business as usual and all lodges are busy with maintenance and upgrades in preparation for a bumper 2024/25 season !!! Please be rest assured that ALL lodges will do everything they can do to receive our valued guests, for those clients that considered cancelling or changing we request you to be a bit patient and know that we as lodge owners carry your safety and well being at heart!!! We need you and your support!!!

Hi all.

Ponta is very quiet and our borders are open and quiet and tomorrow will be open as well.

The bulk is in Maputo city.

I think we should focus on current accurate news rather than repost old news.
I recommend using Kosibay border for anyone traveling to and from the South but other than that let's not frighten our valuable tourists.
