Azulik Vilankulo Wildlife Sanctuary.
Nestled on the unique ridge of "Worlds View" at the northernmost tip of the San Sebastian peninsula within Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary, AZULIK eco lodge offers an unparalleled experience.
Perched about 60m above the high-water mark, it boasts arguably one of Mozambique's best views. The backdrop of ever-changing turquoise seas, adorned with local Dhows navigating emerging sandbanks, sets the scene for this unspoiled luxury retreat.
THE WILDLIFE SANCTUARY:
Spanning 30,000 hectares of pristine Marine and Wildlife territory, this sanctuary is the first Privately Managed Specially Protected National Park in Mozambique.
AZULIK overlooks the Portuguese Bazaruto Archipelago, designated a National Park in 1971, showcasing a diverse array of sea creatures like Great Leatherback Turtles, Sailfish, Angel Fish, Manta Ray, and Dolphins. Notably, it is home to the nearly extinct Atlantic Dugong. On land, encounter Livingstone's Eland, Kudu, Sable antelope, Blue Wildebeest, Plains Zebra, Giraffe, Nyala, Duiker, and Steenbok.
Deep-sea fishing for Marlin and Barracuda is spectacular, while large flocks of Flamingos and Pelicans add to the enchantment. These harmonious habitats truly embody the WWF's "Gift to the Earth.
ACCOMMODATION:
AZULIK lodge presents exclusively decorated tented lodgings with original Mozambican architecture. Its four luxury semi-rigid thatched tents feature en-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers.
Each bungalow includes a private viewing platform with a hammock to maximize the breathtaking views.
Rooms are equipped with queen size beds, mosquito nets, fans, tea/coffee facilities, mineral water, hairdryers, mosquito repellent, and essential bathroom amenities. Ideal for groups up to eight seeking a relaxed bush and beach experience, AZULIK Lodge guarantees extreme privacy as an exclusive-use retreat.
THE MAIN BUILDING:The main building's open plan lounge, dining, and bar area with a balcony overlooking Bazaruto islands epitomizes style and luxury. Hammocks, hang beds, and sunken seating around the rim flow pool create an indoor-outdoor ambiance. Indulge in a beautiful wine selection, soft drinks, and local beverages included in your daily package.

GETTING HERE:
Flights are available from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to Vilanculos Airport
and from Kruger National Park Airport to Vilanculos Airport. Charter or private flights can also easily be
arranged.
TRANSFERS TO THE LODGE:
We have 2 rate options, one which includes the return helicopter transfers from Vilanculos Airport to Azulik
Lodge and one that does not include transfers to and from Azulik lodge.
Should the transfer exclusive rate option be selected, you would need to book either a boat or helicoptertransfer in addition to your nightly Azulik Lodge rate.
For the helicopter transfers, you will be met at the airport and guided to the helicopter charter company. You
will then be flown directly to Azulik Lodge. Here a warm welcome and an ice-cold cocktail await you.
For the boat transfers, you may be required to wade through knee-deep water, so bear this in
mind when choosing your attire.
Once you arrive at the Sanctuary, you will be met by Azulik game viewing
vehicle, and driven the 20 min drive to the lodge. Here a warm welcome and an ice-cold cocktail await
you.
VISAS for Business and Tourists can be issued on arrival.
South African passport holders do not require a visa.
