Have you witnessed the Zeila Wreck, situated North of Swakopmund, around 15 kilometres South of Henties Bay?

The Zeila got stranded on 25 August 2008. It is said that a fishing trawler that was sold as scrap metal to an Indian company by Hangana Fishing of Walvis Bay got stranded after it came loose from its towing line while on its way to Bombay, India shortly after it left Walvis Bay.

Aune Amakali, our NTT Team Member said; 'As a tour design expert, I am passionate about showcasing the beauty of my country, Namibia, through my extensive experience to tourists. My love for travel began straight after completing my higher education. Initially, I planned to take a break, but during that period, I had the opportunity to assist a tour consultant. This chance encounter marked the beginning of my journey in the travel industry.

I vividly remember my first visit to the Skeleton Coast Park in 2004. Witnessing the giant clay grounds, the roaring dunes, and the vast, breathtaking scenery, I was overwhelmed with pride and amazement at the natural wonders of Namibia. This experience ignited a deep passion within me to share these incredible landscapes with as many guests as possible. From that moment, I fell in love with my country and my hobby of traveling took off.

Another region close to my heart is Damaraland. Known for its rugged and untamed beauty, we often refer to it as a "rustic land made in anger by God," with sunsets that serve as a reminder that beauty can emerge from harshness. I could effortlessly craft a 10-night itinerary in Damaraland, each day offering a unique experience across four different establishments.

Through my journey and personal experiences, I strive to provide my clients with unforgettable adventures, revealing the hidden gems of Namibia and ensuring that every moment is as magical as my first encounter with this extraordinary land'
