The Himba are an indigenous ethnic group living in northern Namibia, primarily in the Kunene Region. They are known for their traditional semi-nomadic pastoral lifestyle, distinctive clothing, and intricate hairstyles.

The Himba people have preserved much of their traditional culture despite influences from modernization and tourism. They are known for their unique customs, such as the use of otjize paste (a mixture of butterfat and ochre pigment) to protect their skin from the harsh desert climate. Visiting a Himba village offers a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage and way of life.

SWAKOPMUND MONDESA HISTORICAL TOUR
Oshikundu or Ontaku is a traditional Namibian drink made from fermented millet (mahangu) flour, brans and malted sorghum flour mixed with lukewarm water.[1] It is made from cereal. Ontaku has short life span and it has to be consumed within the same day, preferably within 6 hours once its ready.[2] Ontaku is more common among Aawambo people and in some part of Kavango Region.[3] The knowledge of creating Ontaku has been passed orally from one generation to the other orally, hence existing through generations of Aawambo.[4] It is widely sold in open markets and mostly associated with rural areas and northern Namibia.
