The seeds of the dollar bush (Zygophyllum stapffii) dry out and resemble a thin papery wheel, that get transported by the winds. These super light seeds can survive in the desert for many years. In the event of a little rain or heavy fog, it will transform within seconds so that the little seeds inside are packed in nice and wet to allow germination to start, even in difficult conditions.
