learn something about Lion ..
Young Lioness having a rest, Kafue National Park.
Lions spend between 16 and 20 hours a day just resting or sleeping to conserve energy. They are more active at night, in the evenings and in the early morning.
The female cubs will stay with the pride as they grow older, maturing around the age of two.
The eyes of the lion are six times more sensitive to light than the eyes of a human. This means their night vision is far better than most of their prey, making the darker hours, a great time to hunt.
