Pack Safari has been organising superior tours for 24 years incorporating the most inspirational places of nature, scenery and culture Southern Africa has to offer. Whilst Namibia is the heart of our operation, the area of our expertise extends beyond her borders, covering South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Our love for the region and dedication to unsurpassed service is reflected in well coordi

nated itineraries, making each safari extraordinary. We specialize in guided tours, with group sizes up to 16 participants, tailored to the needs of our clients. The small group size ensures individual attention and an exposure to the warm hospitality that Namibia is renowned for. Our aptly qualified tour guides are very passionate about the country, strive to anticipate our guests’ every wish and to open their eyes to things unseen. For those who prefer to travel with greater independence, flexibility and solitude, we arrange carefully composed self-drive tours. Selected pre-arranged accommodation offer welcome repose after a day’s travel and open portals to new adventures. In case time only allows for a few days to explore or when a remote destination calls, we create lasting memories with fly-in safaris, making the most of every day available. As an inbound tour operator integrity is our greatest principle. Our focus lies on swift and efficient feedback, striving to cultivate a productive and open partnership. We have visited all recommended accommodations and offered routes have been tried and tested. Due to excellent relationships with local providers and our own fleet we are in a position to offer fair and competitive prices.

Hikuama Kaputu guided guests through Etosha to the Zambezi Region. During their stay at Etosha Safari Lodge, one of the guests inadvertently dropped their passport while removing items from their room’s safe. Following their departure from the lodge they received a call from Etosha Safari Lodge informing them of the passport's location. However, they were already 600-700 kilometres away at Kazile Island Lodge, which is set within the Bwabwata National Park in the Zambezi Region. They were planning to travel to Botswana shortly after their stay in north-eastern Namibia. Without the passport, the guest's Botswana journey seemed impossible.

Hikuama Kaputu rose to the challenge, orchestrating a remarkable feat to ensure the safe delivery of the passport. He mobilised a chain of private drivers spanning seven stops to ensure the safe delivery of the guest's passport at Chobe River Camp. Thanks to Hikuama's unwavering dedication and resourcefulness, the guest was able to continue their journey without disruption, sparing them potential inconvenience. The guest wholeheartedly believes that these extraordinary efforts exemplify the true spirit of a Tourism Hero, and they are immensely grateful for his assistance. It is fittingly appropriate that he is recognised as a Tourism Hero, with his reward being monetarily.

𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 – 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿

While traveling through Namibia, a guest and her partner encountered a startling incident one evening. While staying at a lodge near the Etosha National Park, she had a terrifying encounter with a spitting cobra while using the bathroom. The snake spat in her eyes, and the Tour Guide, Peter Philander, advised her to wash her eyes with tap water. Thanks to Peter's quick actions, she received immediate assistance and was rushed to the hospital in Outjo. Peter ensured they received proper medical attention and continued to support them throughout the ordeal, even arranging for specialist care with an ophthalmologist to prevent permanent damage to her eyes. The specialist advised that the water rinsing saved her eyes. Peter’s dedication and care allowed the guests to continue their journey without having to cancel and they will forever be grateful for his assistance.

Throughout the rest of their trip, Peter's prudence and quick reactions were evident once again when he helped another fellow traveller who had fallen ill. His expertise, knowledge of Namibia and genuine care for his guests made their journey unforgettable. Peter's exceptional qualities as a Tour Guide inspired them to book another trip to Namibia with him as their guide, and they look forward to many more adventures in our beautiful country. Therefore, it is only appropriate that he is recognised as a Tourism Hero, with his reward being in monetary form.

The sociable weaver is a species of bird endemic to Southern Africa.
They build large compound community nests, a rarity among birds. These nests are perhaps the most spectacular structure built by any bird.

African wild dogs have a success rate of around 80% when hunting, which is higher than other predators like lions and leopards. This high success rate is largely due to their teamwork.

White fronted Bee Eater:
They nest in the sides of steep sandbanks, by digging horizontal holes using their beak and wings as a tripod, freeing up their feet as a digging tool.
