🎨 Exhibition Opening: “Consistency” 🗓️
📅 Date: Thursday, January 23, 2025
📍 Location: FNCC gallery

Our cultural calendar is finally open and ready to welcome you all. Join us for the opening of “Consistency,” an exhibition that delves into the evolution of my works and their connection to one another. This collection is a celebration of movement, rhythm, and the harmony between sculptures, prints, and installations. Following the opening, join us for an art walkthrough with the artist the next day, on the 30th we’ll have a discussion around Art, something for the kids to do on a Saturday, join us the 1st of February for a workshop for kids and finally we will close the exhibition off on the 14th of February.

🔸 What to Expect:

A mix of new and previous works, including cardboard prints and stone sculptures
A deep exploration of rhythm, movement, and the concept of Oongombe—a thread that runs through my sculptures, prints, and dance
Cubism, portrait, and landscape formats, all woven together to create a visual dialogue of continuity and change
A unique experience of art that creates connection—not just between the works themselves, but with the audience.

The exhibition also touches on Namibian art techniques, like cardboard print and the cultural significance of my sculptures, which I believe should be celebrated within the context of Namibia’s rich history and art education.

This exhibition is deeply personal to me—each piece tells a story, explores form and space, and builds a bridge between the past and the present.

💬 Don’t miss out on this immersive experience.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this journey of artistic consistency!

🌍✨ Passion for Fashion! ✨🌍

The FNCC was honored to host Mme Ambassador Cécile Vigneau during Katutura Fashion Week! This incredible event brought together international fashion designers from Zambia, Lesotho, Angola, and Namibia—including Dennis Hendrick, who unveiled a stunning new denim collection during a vibrant final showdown.

The audience was equally international, creating an electric atmosphere for the second night of fashion magic.

Ophelia, the Marketing Manager of KFW, said it best: “Passion for Fashion” perfectly sums up the inventive and surprising two days of creativity and style that unfolded last weekend.

👏 A big thank you to everyone who attended and made this event unforgettable!

Le Centre Culturel Franco-Namibien | The Franco Namibian Cultural Centre

The Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) was inaugurated on July 30, 1991 in Windhoek, and is aimed at implementing the co-operation projects between France and Namibia, in the cultural and artistic fields.

Since its inauguration, the FNCC has developed many activities and initiatives. That is why the FNCC is now recognized as a key player in the Namibian cultural sphere by the local authorities as well as the population.

The FNCC supports both Namibian cultures & Francophone cultures through the organization of many different events such as concerts, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, fashion show, etc.

It also promotes the spreading of the French language.
