When cheetahs catch prey like springbok, impala, or other small antelope, they consume as much as possible right away, gaining not only energy but also vital moisture. The blood, organs, and muscles in these animals contain a high percentage of water, which can make up a significant part of a cheetah's daily hydration needs.
