Olifantsrus Camp is the newest campsite in Etosha National Park. Significantly, there are numerous waterholes around Olifantsrus Camp, which means its excellent for game viewing. Olifantsrus is a campsite only since there’s no accommodation available.

A couple of reminders over the public holidays coming up
Friday 7 April 2023, Sunday 9th and Monday the 10th.

🚨 We are expecting high volumes of traffic as many travel towards the coastal and northern regions during this time. Please drive defensively and be responsible.

🚨 Do not drink and drive. Law enforcement will not tolerate this.

🚨 Alcohol is not sold over public holidays. Restaurants will however serve drinks. Ensure you have a Designated Driver if you need to drive somewhere after consuming alcohol.

🚨 Various road blocks have been set up, please practice patience here.

🚨 Be cautious when swimming in the ocean and/or when riding your motorcycles in the dunes. Inform others and preferably do not go out alone.

You will find the earthy Waterberg Resort on top of the mountains of the Waterberg Plateau Park. Here, you’re high above all the plains of the Kalahari and Namibia and only 68 km from Otjiwarongo. Guests enjoy feeling like they’re staying in the bush and at the same time having the spoils of the chalets.

During the day you can go on game drives across the 405 km² nature reserve, the Waterberg Plateau Park. The area has a diverse ecology with over 200 bird species and some particularly rare species of antelope can be spotted among the bushes of the lower parts of the mountain. Furthermore, the area is home to the only colony of endangered Cape vulture left in Namibia.

Visitors can also explore this unique land by walking along the trail around the camp in the morning or afternoon.

Shark Island and can be found on the west coast of Namibia, near Luderitz. It’s technically not an island anymore, but a peninsula connected to the bay. At Shark Island Namibia guests can stay in a lighthouse with views of the ocean, Penguin Island and the Luderitz harbor.
It is the perfect value-for-money location to explore Luderitz. It is one of the earlier settlements in Namibia and was found by Adolf Luderitz in 1883 as a trading base. Shark Island has a rich history.

In Luderitz there are many old German buildings from the colonial era, now framed by the harsh desert landscape. The town was home to a Norwegian whaling station and thereafter a diamond trading town.

Safarihoek Lodge

After a long day at Etosha National park, you can sit back and gaze over the plains from your private viewing deck at the modern, comfortable Safarihoek Lodge. The lodge is less than 112km from the Andersson gate of the park. Guests can also enjoy wildlife sightings on the premises throughout the day – and night!

You can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives on the 600 square-kilometre Etosha Heights Reserve. The reserve is where you’ll find the Safarihoek Lodge. The black rhino is undoubtedly the icon of this area. There’s a unique photography hide by the water hole that allows guests to get closer to the wildlife. Later, you can wrap up warm for a night’s drive and locate the nocturnal creatures of the reserve.
