I went to GT Bank hall yesterday, as I was about entering the hall, a lady ran ahead of me and pushed me away so she could quickly join the long queue before I will get to the queue.

I did not say anything, she thought I will queue up behind her but I was actually not there to withdraw, I went to deposit.

So I walked to the deposit teller and I was the only one there. No single person on the queue.
When I finished depositing, I was about leaving the hall, when this lady came from the queue and apologized to me for pushing me away from the line.

With "sorry smile on her face"she said: I am very sorry dear for pushing you away, I thought you were coming to the queue to withdraw..............
I smiled and told her not to bother that it's not a big deal.

Friends believe me I learned a big lesson from that incident.

Who are you 'pushing' away and trying to outrun in the race of destiny, relationship, business, ministry, career, marriage, political position or appointment, etc?

How many People have you pushed aside, pushed away or pushed down in this platform or this life?

Are you among those that destroy people through pushing?
By slandering them, hindering their progress, blocking their promotion, lying, backstabbing, condemning them before their helpers, backbiting, discriminate, and spoiling their good names either through lies or rumor all in a bid to 'get there' before them.
I challenge you today to take it easy because you might not be going to the same destination.

Unknown to you the path may look alike but your destinations are different.

It might surprise you later that, with all the pushing away you are doing, or planning to do, they may still leave you on the 'queue' of destiny and go ahead of you.

Finally;
Has anyone ever pushed you away, aside, or down in your school, office, ministry, business, marriage, church, political platform, social media?

Are they trying to push you away or have they pushed you away already so that they can get ahead of you?
Don't worry, God will use your case to prove to them that, "it is not of him who runs, but of the Lord that shows mercy. He will show you mercy and give you an overtaking speed and those who are pushing you here and there will later come and tell you they are sorry.

Beloved friends;
Please push nobody! because you might not be heading to the same destination.

JUST A LITTLE MISTAKE...
One night, before a shopkeeper closed for the day, a dog came into the shop, having a bag in its mouth. The bag had a list of items to be bought and money so the shopkeeper took the money and put the items in the bag.
Immediately, The dog picked up the bag of items and left. The shopkeeper was surprised and went behind the dog to see who the owner was.The dog waited at the bus stop. After sometime, a bus came and the dog got onto the bus. As soon as the conductor came, it moved forward to show his neck belt which had money and the address as well. The conductor took the money and put the ticket in his neck belt again.
When it reached its destination, the dog went to the front and wagged his tail indicating that he wanted to get down. The moment the bus stopped, it got down. The shopkeeper was still following it. The dog knocked on the door of a house with its legs. Its owner came from inside and beat it with a stick.
The shocked shopkeeper asked him "why are you beating the dog?", to which the owner replied, "he disturbed my sleep. It could have taken the keys with it."
This is the truth of life. There is no end to the expectations people have from you. The moment you go wrong, they start pointing at your mistakes.
All the good done in the past is quickly forgotten. Any small mistake committed gets magnified. You can do 100 things for people but once you make a small mistake they forget all that you have done for them. They capitalize on your little mistake and hold it against you whereas they themselves ain't perfect.
The owner of the dog had no idea of what his dog went through to get those items yet instead of appreciating it he beat the dog.
Most people have no idea what you have gone through in life to make them happy or please them but at the end of it all, instead of them appreciating you or complementing you they end up looking for faults and mistakes from you just to discredit you. This is the kind of society we live in...
To all those who can relate to this story, may God bless you and may you find a fulfilling life as God unlocks opportunity for you.

I found this 👆touching and thought of sharing... I hope it inspires someone to tolerate others .

A poor man always think the rich man made his wealth out of luck

And the rich man believes the poor is poor because he is lazy

A young lady who got married very early thinks ladies who are finding it hard to get married have bad character

A man who just graduated and gets a job immediately thinks he is smarter than others

While a woman who just got married and start giving birth sees "barren" women as people who lived a wayward life and probably have "occultic" husbands who sacrifices their babies.

If only the poor knew the price the rich paid to get to the top and if only the rich knows the battles ,challenges that the poor is going through, none will ever form a theory about each other.

If the poor can't appreciate the rich man's success let him mind his business if it is easy to be rich he wouldn't have been poor.

And if the rich won't help the poor grow at least he should not kill the spirit of a struggling man

If only you know what people endure or fight behind the scene you will always thank God for your life. Until you walk in people's shoes, you will never know how hard the journey is.

*Help each other grow*

*JUST BEGIN.*

Just after I received my fee structure from My University for my PhD, totalling N850,000 in 2012, I met my Dad, at Cooperative bank in Kaduna.

I explained to him that I had the admission letter and he smiled.

I told him however, "Baba, there is a problem. They need N850,000."

He held my hands, then slowly but reassuringly, said, *"Just Begin,* my son."

To ensure his point went home, he got into his account and gave me N14,000 in an account that had N20,000.

I was touched.

*I added N16000 and paid N30,000 into the account, and my journey to PhD began.*

Today, having reached the dream, I remember the words of my father.
*Just Begin....*

In everything you do, always remember, *JUST BEGIN.*

*Just begin, no matter how difficult it seems to be.*

It appeared to be difficult, but as time lapsed, I realised dad was right.

At some point before my defence, I gave up.

I still had a solid N300,000 to pay and they wouldn't give me a chance for my final defence.

*Then came a very unlikely help.*

I had supported a gentleman to undertake a project evaluation two times in the year.

I received his call cautiously asking me to meet him.

He was carrying a brown envelop in his hand.

He began, "Gideon, you will forgive me if you find my action inappropriate. For two consecutive times you have given me a job without asking for a Cent. This is very unusual with many people. I did not know how to approach you, but I am deep with gratitude. Please accept my small gift."

I quickly peered into the envelope and saw they were two bundles, likely in hundreds.

He confirmed that it was N200,000.

I couldn't believe it.

The words of my father,
*"My son, just begin"* came to mind.

*Don't worry how it will end.*

*Just begin.*

If you are building a house, *just begin.*

If you are planning to buy land, *just begin.*

If you want to continue with your education, *just begin.*

If you want to pay dowry, *just begin.*

Nothing is more powerful than that advice.

*We just need to Have Faith and Begin.*

And I have revised this philosophy.

Whenever someone is doing something, I always encourage them to *Have Faith and Just keep trying.*

When things get thick, I always say, *keep walking.*

*No matter how slow Just keep Moving*

*If you Can't Walk then Crawl*

*Just Keep Moving*

When things are intimidating, *Ignore.*

*Persist and keep trying.*

*Don't give up on life just because your challenges appear to be insurmountable.*

*Do not be defeated before you begin.*

Whatever looks like a mountain will soon become an anthill...
*but only if you begin.*

Not long ago, someone asked me, "Gideon, are we going to manage to build the office we want?"

My answer,
*"Let's just begin."*

*I believe in the power of Faith and Action (Starting) .*

No one Wins a race until they *respond* to the sound of the gun and begin.

*The secret lies in Beginning.*

Overtime, God has seen me through a number of projects because of this philosophy.

I have parcels of land that I acquired by simply paying N50,000...and, overtime, these have multiplied.

*I persuade you this day never to allow yourself to be threatened by the size of your problem.*

*The Journey of a Thousand Miles Starts with One Step*

*Begin in a small way to do something about it.*

*How Do You Eat an Elephant ?*
By Eating it *One Bit at a Time*

If it is lack of money do something small to get something for yourself.

*If it is a marital issue, look for a way to solve it.*

In whatsoever you face, *Just Begin.*

Even those with big debts can do something about it.

*Just begin by doing something little and it will shrink each day.*

I was not a millionaire, but sometime ago, I wanted to have a feeling of being one.

I drew a plan of how to hold a million in my account, at least for a few days.

After some months of beginning, I discovered it was possible.

*Three years and half of savings later, I got my first ever million.*

Even though I used it later on investments and expenses, it felt so good.

*Let's all Have Faith and Just Begin*.

Let's ignore naysayers and prophets of doom that believe we can't do it.

Remember Jesus said,
*All Things Are Possible to Him that BELIEVES*
(Mark 9:23 KJV)

*JUST BEGIN !*

*I hope someone here is encouraged by this little piece. If you have, it's not bad to share cos someone else might just need it.*

Have a beautiful Week

( *As received*)

MENTORING
-

Dr. Myles Munroe

1. The Greatest Act of Leadership Is Mentoring.

2. If what you learn, achieve, accumulate or accomplish dies with you then you are a generational failure.

3. Mentoring is the manifestation of the highest level of personal maturity, security and self confidence.

4. An insecure person will never Train People, they will oppress people.

5. Mature people create people greater than themselves.

6. Your assignment has a shelf life.

7. You will die one day; so train your replacement.

8. Your Greatest Gift to the world is your mentee.

9. True leaders do not seek followers, followers are attracted to true leaders.

10. The Greatest obligation of true leadership is to transfer your deposit to the next generation.

11. Leadership success is measured by the success of your successor.

12. No matter how great you may have been, if you didn't produce a successor, you are a failure.

13. You preserve what you built through mentorship.

14. Legacy is about preserving all that you've built by raising other people.

15. Success without a successor is failure.

16. Leadership that serves only it's generation is destined to failure.

17. If your vision dies with you, you have failed.

18. Legacy is about living beyond your grave.

19. Leadership Is not a Sprint but a relay.

20. The most important part of a relay is passing it on-not running.

21. The ultimate measure of true leadership is not to maintain followers but to produce leaders.

22. True leadership measures it's success by the diminishing dependency factor of its followers.

23. The ultimate measure of leadership is the ability to leave.

24. True leadership makes itself increasingly unnecessary.

25. You are a successful leader when your followers can lead others.

26. Your goal as a leader is to destroy the dependency of the people around you.

27. You are a great leader when your people don't need you.

28. Make people greater than you and you will live forever.

29. True leaders do not seek power.

30. True leaders seek to empower.

31. True leaders make themselves increasingly unnecessary.

32. Never confuse your position with your value.

33. The ultimate goal of true leadership is not to maintain followers but to produce leaders.

34. The first act of a true leader is identifying your replacement and you begin mentoring them.

35. You become great by producing people greater than yourself.

36. When you produce someone greater than yourself, don't get jealous. Take the credit.

37. When you train your replacement, you are freed to expand your work.

38. When you mentor people, your legacy will make your tombstone unnecessary.

Please enjoy:

This is a narration by Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi

When I was sixteen years old, we lived in South Africa about eighteen miles outside the city.

One Saturday my father had to go to town to attend a conference and he didn’t feel like driving so he asked me if I would drive him into town and bring him back in the evening.
My parents also gave me many small chores to do in the town, like getting the car serviced and the oil changed.

When I left my father at the conference venue, he said,

“At five o’clock in the evening, come here and pick me up, and we’ll go home together.”

I said, “Fine.”

I rushed off, did all my chores as quickly as possible, left the car in the garage—and went straight to the nearest movie theatre.
I got so engrossed in a double feature that I didn’t realize the passage of time.
The movie ended at 5:30, I came out and ran to the garage and rushed to where my dad was waiting for me.
It was almost six o’clock when I reached there and he was wondering what had happened to me.

The first question he asked me was,

“Why are you late?”

Instead of telling him the truth, I lied to him, and I said,

“The car wasn’t ready; I had to wait for the car,”
Not realizing that he had already called the garage.

When he caught me in the lie, he said,

"There’s something wrong in the way I brought you up that didn’t give you the confidence to tell me the truth, that made you feel you had to lie to me. I’ve got to find out where I went wrong with you, and to do that I’m going to walk home.”

There was absolutely nothing I could do to make him change his mind—and I couldn’t leave him and go away.

For five and a half hours I crawled along in the car behind Father, watching him go through all this pain and agony for a stupid lie.

I decided then and there that I was never going to lie again.

It’s almost fifty years since the event, and every time I think about it I still get goose bumps.

That is the power of non-violent action.

It’s a lasting thing. It’s a change we bring through love, not fear.

Anything that is brought by fear doesn’t last. But anything that is done by love lasts forever. - Arun Gandhi.

Have a great week ahead
