FIGHT AGAINST INSECURITY IN EKPEYE LAND:
All First Class Chiefs, Eze Emenes, Nye Udus, Eze Nwe Ulas To Swear Oath In Ekpeye land Soon

His imperial Majesty Eze Sir (Amb.) Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo PhD, DSSRS, FINM, CNA, MNIMN, SFALLP, AP, JP, AKALAKA XII , EZE EKPEYE LOGBO III has mandated all Ekpeye juju priests and community chiefs to summon all traditional rulers in Ekpeye ethnic nationality to swear the land gods and other deities to expose anyone bank rolling the cultists in the land.

The Ekpeye supreme Monarch handed down the mandate during a meeting comprising community chiefs, all juju chief priests among others held last Friday at his palace in Ula-Upata community in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State.

He said, there was no going back in the establishment of a formidable vigilantes and redeployment of a tactical squad of Nigeria police to Ekpeye land.

Adding that he would not watch the several terrorists in his kingdom unleashing mayhem on unsuspecting members of the public.

Eze Anugwo charged the chief priests and scepter (holders) to act fast; also asked them to include all Eze Nwe Ulas to the oath taken.

The revere Ekpeye Monarch also disclosed that celebration of the all important Ogwu Ekpeye (Ekpeye festival) would be hosted on one colorful day unlike before. Stressing that the rebranding of the Ogwu Ekpeye would make the festival more popular and acceptable.

However, the participants at the meeting did not only gave their overwhelming nod , but greeted the decisions with standing ovation.

Meanwhile, these measures were aimed at cracking down the unending insurgency in Ekpeye land.

Recall that the Eze Ekpeye III, during his electioneering campaign promised to provides security, peace and development for the people of Ekpeye if elected on to the throne # # #

The weekly fasting and prayer program of the palace Will holds on 2nd and last Thursdays of every month ; Time remains 8:00 - 12 noon dot.

The change was necessitated on the high cost of transportation.

EZE EKPEYE LOGBO III PALACE CHAPLAINCY EXTENDS PRAYERS TO ORPHAN'S, ELDERLY IN EKPEYE KINGDOM

Survival prayers for orphans, elderly including other sordid human conditions in Ekpeye kingdom topped the long intercessory session of the weekly fasting and prayer at the Chaplaincy today.

According to Pastor Chinedu Abadi who preached at the congregation, said among other things that if the words of God does not abided in us, we will not live a good life. Pastor Abadi who captioned the sermon "Abide in the words, the words Abide in you" referenced 1st John 15.

Meanwhile, a -3 Kg bags of rice were distributed to each attendee at the Chaplaincy, and announcement was made that the fasting and prayer would take place on every 2nd Thursday and last Thursday of the month.

The change became necessary due to high cost of transportation across the country. It is no more a weekly program again # #

His Imperial Majesty, Eze Sir (Amb.) Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo FNIM, JP, AP Eze Ekpeye Logbo III of Ekpeye land has asserted that he would revamp ailing cultural practices in Ekpeye land.

Eze Anugwo made the declaration during the night of folklore ceremony heralding the (Ogwu) Ekpeye Festival held recently in his palace at Ula–Upata Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

He further noted that healthy Cultural practice does not only promote harmonious living, but enhanced development; adding that tribes were typically identified through their cultural habits.

The opulence Ekpeye monarch reiterated that respect for laid down customs and traditions engendered Peace and Unity amongst cultural enclaves.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that some healthy cultural practices in the land have fallen abeyance. It was a common knowledge that the decadence in cultural values, norms and acceptable traditions were obviously responsible for the upsurge in crime rate in Ekpeye land.

However, in recent past, Ekpeye Communities engaged themselves in inter-communal Masquerade dance, Wrestling Competition, Awilija Cultural dance to mention just a few.

In a bid to promoting peaceful co-existence, community invites other Communities to display their cultural masquerade dance, Awilija cultural dance or engage them in a Wrestling bout; during such invitations, the visiting community would make new friends with the host community.

The visiting community could spend barely two to three days, where their new friends hosted them very well, and sometimes escorted them with precious gifts.

This joyous trend advocates friendliness, inter – communal love and co-operation.

Recall, perhaps that some relationships waxing strong these days between families of different communities were created through cultural visitation by our fathers, mothers and grand fathers during their life time # #
