BADAGRY CHAIRMAN, ONILUDE ADENIRAN, AND GBENU JOSEPH ENDORSE BADAGRY INTERNATIONAL FILM, CULTURAL AND SPORTS FESTIVAL (BIFIF)

The Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Onilude Adeniran, and his counterpart in Badagry West, Hon. Gbenu Joseph, have officially endorsed the second edition of the Badagry International Film, Cultural and Sports Festival (BIFIF), scheduled for November.

According to the organizer, Viyon Awhanse, this year's festival promises to be an exceptional experience, featuring a beach marathon as the opening event, master class, film workshop , tour Badagry, cultural display, summit, gala and award night with exciting prizes for participants all the festival period.

The event is expected to be an unforgettable celebration of film, culture, and sports, showcasing Badagry's rich heritage.

The endorsement by the Chairmen and other stakeholders highlights BIFIF's significance as a platform for promoting arts, culture, and community development.

With its unique blend of film, cultural, and sports activities, BIFIF is poised to become a flagship event in the Badagry calendar. Said Viyon

The organizer, Viyon Awhanse, also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his unwavering support through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. Badagry international film, cultural, sports festival postpones till Nov.18

Badagry (Lagos State) Oct.24, 2023 (NAN).

The Organizers of the Badagry International Film Festival on Tuesday said they have shifted the festival scheduled to hold from Oct.25 to 28 Oct.2023 to Nov 15 to 18, 2023.

Mr Viyon Awhanse, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the festival in a statement in Lagos said this was due to some unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.

According to him, we sincerely apologise for the shift in dates.

"This is also to enable us get all logistics in place.

"We regret any inconvenience this might cause in your already planned schedule.

"We look forward to welcoming you to Badagry in Nov. 2023,"he said.

Viyon said that the festival would serve as a platform for exploring new insights and perspectives that can inspire societal change.

"Filmmakers and participants from diverse backgrounds will come together to share their stories and forge meaningful connections that can shape the future of our historical identity.
