*NIGERIA HOTELS ASSOCIATION* Inaugurate Akwa Ibom State Branch.

The President of Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN) Mr Nkereuwem Onung has charged hotel owners in Akwa Ibom state to refrain for allowing politics get in the way of their professional conduct in their service to the hospitality sector of the state.

The FTAN boss gave the charge in his remark at the inauguration of Nigerian Hotels Association - Akwa Ibom Branch on Tuesday, May 7,2024 performed by the National President of Nigeria Hotels Association, who is also the North East Vice President of FTAN, Eze Patrick Anyanwu.

He called on the hoteliers to celebrate and emulate the disposition of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno as a man of peace, adding that ‘peace’ is a tangible tourism product vital for sustainable development. He reiterated that Akwa Ibom is blessed to have this tangible product - ‘PEACE’, which has positioned the state on the African tourism map.

He, alongside his Executive Council members, flew from Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo to Lagos State.
