TOP 5 MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE WHEN APPLYING TO STUDY IN CANADA

Dear all,
As you may be aware, Canada is a popular destination for international students, offering a high-quality education and a welcoming environment. However, the application process can be complex, and many people make mistakes that can negatively impact their chances of being accepted. To help you succeed, here are the top five mistakes that people make when applying to study in Canada:

👉 Not researching the institution and program thoroughly: Before you apply, make sure you have a clear understanding of the institution you are interested in and the program you are applying for. This will help you tailor your application and show that you are a good fit.

👉 Not following instructions: Pay close attention to the application requirements, including any deadlines and documents that need to be submitted. Failing to follow instructions can result in your application being rejected.

👉 Neglecting language proficiency: English and French are the official languages of Canada, and many programs require a certain level of proficiency in one of these languages. Make sure you have taken and passed an approved language test, such as IELTS or TOEFL, before you apply.

👉 Not providing adequate financial documentation: International students are required to demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to support themselves during their studies. Make sure you provide all the necessary documentation, such as bank statements and letters of support, to show that you are financially prepared.

👉 Not proofreading your application: This may seem like a minor detail, but small errors, such as typos and grammatical mistakes, can have a big impact on your application. Make sure you take the time to carefully review your application before you submit it.

👉 We hope this information helps you avoid these common mistakes and gives you a better chance of being accepted into the Canadian institution of your choice. Good luck with your application!

Comment YES if you agree.

The world is like a large, diverse, and multi-faceted book, and those who do not travel and explore it are only able to read and experience a limited portion of it.

Just as a book has many pages and offers a wealth of knowledge and experience, so too does the world offer a multitude of diverse cultures, landscapes, and perspectives.

By traveling and exploring the world, one can broaden their horizons, gain new insights, and expand their understanding of the world and its complexities.

Applicants miss out on some important steps to take in order to achieve an overall successful application.

As a matter of fact, some students go as far as arriving in the UK then begin to experience delay in paying the balance of there tuition fee which sometimes leads to the risk of deportation.

So it is important to take cognisance even after securing admission, getting your visa and eventually arriving in the UK

Take note of these important steps:

Apply to more than one school and also different intake months to increase your chances of securing admission.
This puts you on a safe spot so you won’t end up disappointed.
You can be rest assured that at least one or two schools will offer you admission and if for example you miss out on January intake, you have a back up of the next admission intake in the year.

Getting a place in the university you applied for does not guarantee you access to the UK.
Take every necessary steps to follow up with your acceptance carefully and IN TIME to meet up deadlines.
Steps like paying your tuition deposit in time (this may even require you paying at black market rate if you sense delay with your bank debiting your account using direct bank rate)
Also submitting all required supporting documents on time puts ahead.

Make sure to pay your tuition as early as possible to get your CAS from the university.
Yes, payment of tuition again!
It’s an important part because it determines every other thing to do next.
most applicants get left behind due to delay in paying tuition.
For example, some applicants go past paying their first deposit, get their CAS done, even issued visa but experience set back because they did not initiate their tuition balance on time.

Start planning for 2023🔥🔥

The UK is considering all options to make sure the immigration system is delivering, and that does include looking at the issue of student dependants and low-quality degrees.”

Emphases on low-quality degrees and dependants. They are benefiting greatly from the migration but they did not put enough systems in place to control it on time which they want to do now.

Despite the plans, it is obvious that the UK is still in need of migrants because 3000 work visas are now issued to Indians every year.

From the reports they just want to improve the quality of people coming in.

Applying for low-quality degrees is not even that beneficial because what is the point of studying a course that is in low demand and will make it hard for you to secure a job?

If funding is your reason for choosing low-quality degrees, you can consider other visa routes like the work visa, global talent visa, scale-up visa, and so on.

Please do your research adequately so that you do not make mistakes with long-lasting

Preparing to study abroad?
Here are things you need to do/know:

- Start your study application on time:

One the best ways to set yourself for success in your study application is to start ahead of time. This helps you buy enough time research different schools and get enough information about them in order to know which best suits your plans in terms of course modules, tuition fees, facilities, and other benefits.
Also you get to prepare & make available all the documents required for your CAS and Visa application plus prepare properly for interviews (if applicable) to avoid unnecessary pressure.

- Keep up to date with the currency exchange:

As you know, Currencies across the globe fluctuate in value from time to time. Baring in mind you are going to a foreign country to study, it is important to keep track of exchange rate at all times as this will help you to effectively make financial decisions as regards tuition, accommodation, living expenses etc.

- Research Your Destination's Local Customs, Culture, and People:

One of the benefits of studying abroad is meeting people from diverse cultures and background. This will help you to gain more exposure and rub shoulders with great minds from around the globe.
But as much as this may be an advantage, it is also important to play smart and save while interacting.
Keep in mind, what is cool to you in your own country & culture may be offensive to others’.

- Start saving early enough:

International education is good_it comes with a lot of benefits, yes.
It can also be financially demanding but worth it. Baring this in mind, it is advisable to begin saving towards the expenses demanded of it. One of the effective ways is set a financial savings plan with your financial institution or an travel agency that operates savings plans for study applicants.

-Prepare for a mental shift:

This is important so as to not be caught unguarded. I mean, you are leaving your home country to a whole new destination.
Bare in mind to be introduced to a new environment, different ways of doing things, weather, transportation systems, foods, languages and the likes.
Prepare your mind to quickly adjust to these things. One of the ways to do is researching some of them to get familiar already.

- Finally, get assistance from expert travel consultant:

To make your processing and application a seamless one and avoid errors that may hinder the success of your application, get the help of a reliable study consultant. This will help you save time, effort and money.
