COVID-19: IDENTIFYING WITH COLLEAGUES ON THE ILORIN EMIRATE DURBAR COMMITTEE

On behalf of His Royal,the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Emirs and Obas,Alhaji(Dr.)Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, I write to identify with you, your esteemed family and the rest of the global community at this critical period of lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic.

This is indeed a dark episode in global history as every aspect of human lives has been negatively affected. My strong conviction is that we shall survive and consign this trying times stronger and better into morgue of history.

With God on our side and positive mindset, we shall turn this great obstacle to human development into unprecedented progress.

The present situation has hindered our Committee from our onerous assignment as His Royal Highness would not want to expose our lives and those of our people to risk constituted by the rampaging effects of the pandemic.

I am therefore using this medium to enquire and show concern about your wellness and to wish you God's protection alongside your family at this trying period.

I have a duty to implore you to please adhere strictly to all health advisories that have been given, such as restriction on movement, maintenance of high level of personal hygiene and social distancing in order to stave off the pandemic. It will be well with all of us as I pray the Almighty Allah to heal our world and keep every member and indigene of our glorious Emirate safe from this pandemic.
