Jimgbe Beach, Some call it a desert, others call it a beach. A beach is a strip of land separating a body of water from its surrounding areas. While a desert is a barren area of land where little water exists and is not convenient for plants and animals to survive in. This particular place is neither a beach nor a desert. It is the river bed of the great River Niger. During dry season, River Niger shrinks up and exposes the huge sand deposited at the bottom of the river.  This river bed is so beautiful and massive, it attracts tourists from within and outside Kogi State. The sand deposit is located in Jimgbe, Ajoukuta local government of Kogi State.

The Niger is believed to have been named by the Greeks. Along its course it is known by several names. These include the Joliba (Malinke: “great river”) in its upper course; the Mayo Balleo and the Isa Eghirren in its central reach; and the Kwarra, Kworra, or Quorra in its lower stretch.

Owu Waterfall is a waterfall located in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara. It's the highest waterfall in West Africa measuring 120m above the water level and cascades 330 feet down an escarpment, with rocky out crops to a pool of ice-cold water below.
