Cheap is expensive in the streets of farming .
Solar is a great investment on the farm however you need to purchase a system with great caution! This loadshedding has been a great opportunity for companies that supply solar systems. I have encountered a number of farmers who’ve purchased a system from a named company that supplied second hand panels that couldn’t even pump water to fill a 200 ltr drum or water a bed of r**e. In as much as we want to support smaller companies it becomes so sad to see such things happen. Please purchase systems with caution.
When making the purchase also state your terms as the client before you pay everything in full. Understand your borehole report so you know the pump size needed and the power required from those panels so you get the correct output and usage.
Sometimes cheap really is expensive especially when building your base infrastructure go for quality it will cost more but you’ll reap the benefits. Imagine investing in a cheap system with your last money and it doesn’t work for you !

The plantain is a crop from the genus Musa. Its fruits are edible, and are generally used for cooking.

The plantain will only fruit once. After harvesting the fruit, the plantain plant can be cut and the layers peeled to get a cylinder shaped soft shoot.

Did you know that regular corn I.e maize is meant for livestock? Like birds, fish, goat etc.

Let me explain some of the reasons why eggs and other livestock are currently expensive.

Corn is one of the important ingredients for livestock feed and for the longest now, maize(corn) has been scarce. Scarcity means hike in price which will in the end have a ripple effect on cost of feed. And then cost of birds, eggs, catfish etc.

If everyone can make a decision to stop eating corn and choose sweetcorn, feed mills will have more corn to work with.

Aside from this fact, sweetcorn is sweeter, juicier and takes less than 5 minutes to boil. Who doesn’t want to cross to the softer and sweeter side of life? 🤭

Maize/Corn is meant for animals/livestock, lets stop dragging it with them and embrace sweetcorn(which is more suitable for humans) ejor 🙏

I hope with this few point of mine, I have been able to convince and not confuse you to ditch corn and embrace sweetcorn. Thank you 😊
