The old lady handed her bank card to a bank teller and said, “I would like to withdraw $10.
The teller told her, “For withdrawals less than $100 please use the ATM.”
The old lady wanted to know why...
The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her, “These are the rules. Please leave if there is no other matter. There is a line of customers behind you.”
The old lady remained silent for a few seconds, then handed the card back to the teller and said, “Please help me withdraw all the money I have.”
The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned down and respectfully told her, "You have $300,000 in your account and the bank doesn't have that much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come again tomorrow?"
The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately.
The teller told her, "Any amount up to $3000."
"Well, please let me have $3000 now," she said. The teller then respectfully handed her the money.
The old lady put $10 in her purse and asked the teller to deposit $2990 back into her account.
The moral of this tale...
Don't be difficult with old people, they spent a lifetime learning the skills 😎

Dr. Anna J. Cooper is one of the most neglected figures in the history of Pan-Africanism. Cooper, who was born into slavery, became a prominent scholar and was one of the first black women to earn a Ph. D. She was also one of the attendees at the Pan-African Conference in 1900.

They taught us about Federick Luggard and not about Thomas Sankara.

They taught how great Mary Slessor was and not Winnie Mandela. They told the world’ “we gave them education”, but never recorded how many dreams they killed. Who told you past African leaders had no dreams? Who told you they weren’t thinkers?

Kwame Nkrumah offence was the power project and his vision of scientific age.

Lumumba’s offence was leave our resources alone!

Sankara’s sin was liberating his people.

Gaddafi’s sin was having gold Black currency.

Muritala Muhammed wasn’t spared so Sekou Toure, Samora Macheal et al.

These were visionary leaders! They knew what they wanted for their people and Africa at large. Whatever African is today, the west brought it upon her and her children.

They took her great sons and left the puppets. They called the great sons dictators. Is anything wrong with dictatorship if its driving an agenda that collectively gives hope, stability, good life, peace and unity to people without HOPE?

To dictate with vision and drive for achievement is far far better than the democracy of baboons jumping around in Africa now and achieving nothing!

These people brought nothing good to Africa than deceits and lies!

Patrice Lunumba once said; “ History will one day have its say, but it will not be the history that is taught in Brussels, Paris, Washington or in United Nations, but the history which will be taught in the countries freed from imperialism and its puppets.”

I pray this day come pretty soon.

Ase!!! ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 Much love❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

MARRIAGE IN SOUTH SUDAN MEANS 4 YEARS OF FREEDOM FOR BRIDE

Today we tour the Dinka custom of marriage. Despite payment of dowry that ranges from 100 to 500 cows, women are treated godly.

Once a man gets married, his wife will not cook or sweep for 4 years. This period is called "Anyuuc" (Generous Welcoming). It is meant for the new bride to rest, relax and study her husband homestead values.

During this time, her husband's sister will do the cooking, washing utensils, collecting firewood, fetching water, and doing other domestic work till later.

After 4 years, her husband decides to arrange a very big party called "Thaat" (cooking festival) where 3 cows and 5 goats are slaughtered to initiate a wife into cooking for the family.

But if the man misbehaved during the 4 years the wife can decide to leave and she doesn't even have to pay back anything.

if you have ever wondered why Africans are always positioned at the bottom beneath all other races universally, it is because of this implanted colonial software program that is recycled in school, in church, in university, and on TV every day.
If this type of software virus is still running in your African mind
IT MEANS THAT YOU ARE STILL A DOMESTICATED SLAVE.
When you were robbed of your land, your name, your language, your culture, your history, and your African mind it was for the purpose of keeping you emotionally disconnected from your true home.
Let stop the lying.

Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill, once said: “I took a taxi one day to the BBC office for an interview.

When I arrived, I asked the driver to wait for me for forty minutes until I got back, but the driver apologised and said, “I can’t, because I have to go home to listen to Winston Churchill’s speech.”

I was amazed and delighted with the man’s desire to listen to my speech! So I took out ten pounds and gave it to the taxi driver without telling him who I was. When the driver collected the money, he said: “I’ll wait for hours until you come back sir! And let Churchill go to hell!”

You can see how principles have been modified against money; nations sold for money; honour for money; families split for money; friends separated for money; people killed for money, and people being made slaves to money.

May 20, 1961: Nannie Helen Burroughs was found dead in Washington D.C. of natural causes. She was 82.

She never married or had kids, as she dedicated her life to fighting for African-Americans.

Nannie Helen Burroughs was an educator, orator, religious leader, civil rights activist, feminist, and businesswoman

Her speech "How the Sisters Are Hindered from Helping," at the 1900 National Baptist Convention in Virginia, instantly won her fame and recognition.

In 1909, she founded the National Training School for Women and Girls in Washington, DC. Burroughs' objective was at the point of intersection between race and gender.

LEGACY:
🖤3 years after her death the institution was renamed the Nannie Burroughs School and has remained that way since. Even though more than 50 years has passed since her death, her history and legacy continue to motivate modern African-American women.

🖤The Manuscript Division in The Library of Congress holds 110,000 items in her papers.

🖤1907, she received an honorary M.A. from Eckstein Norton University.

🖤In 1964, the school that Burroughs founded in 1909 as the National Training School for Women and Girls in Washington, DC, was renamed the Nannie Helen Burroughs School in her honor. Its Trades Hall has been designated as a National Historic Landmark.

🖤1975, Mayor Walter E. Washington declares May 10 Nannie Helen Burroughs Day.

🖤Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE, a street in the Deanwood neighborhood of Washington, DC, is named for her.

🖤In 1997 the National Women's History Project honored Burroughs during Women's History Month.

The Ainu are the indigenous peoples of Japan and far east Russia. Although the true number of Ainu descendants living in Japan is unknown, it is believed that only 200 pure blood Ainu remain, most of these upon Japan’s northernmost island of Hokkaido.

Though the Ainu have their own language, they do not have a written alphabet. The language and the culture of the Ainus is under constant assault from the realities of their present life. Even the spoken language is becoming much rarer. Sooner or later the Ainu way of life may die out and only records of their culture, their wisdom and their stories may lie buried.

Genetically they more similar to dark-skinned groups found in Southeast Asia than the Japanese or Koreans.

In Japanese history the period between 10,000 and 400 B.C. is known as the Jomon Period. The people of the Jomon culutre who lived at this time are regarded as Japan’s first major culture. Many scholars believe that the Jomon people were Ainu or at least that the Ainus are the descendants of the Jomon People.

There are similarities between the two early peoples of Japan. The skull and facial structures of the Jomon people and the Ainu are similar to each other. DNA samples taken from ancient burials also indicates that the Jomon people were similar genetically to the Ainu but very different from modern Japanese.

Ainus and Jomons differ from the modern Japanese. Sampling analysis shows that modern Japanese are similar genetically to modern Chinese and Koreans.

It is not denied that modern Japanese are settlers from the Chinese mainland and Korea. They are linked to Chinese and Korean peoples not Jomon and the Ainus people, the original people of Japan.

Archaeologists have found Japanese-style Jomon pottery fragments on Vanuatu (a Pacific island east of Papua New Guinea and 6,000 miles south of Japan) dated to 3000 B.C. This suggests a cultural connection between the two cultures living so far away from each other.

The Ainus suffered and still suffer a lot of discrimination. They face discrimination in getting jobs and social benefits. Their children face discrimination and bullying at school. They are called “inus” the Japanese words for dogs.

At the start of 20th century, the Ainu language was suppressed by the majority Japanese. Their settlements were uprooted, they were forced to assimilate as lower class Japanese, and they were given land and neighbourhoods rejected by the majority Japanese.

One can assess the level of racism against the Ainus when it is realized that the modern Chinese/Korean descended Japanese pretend that they are indigenous, rather than settlers; and they down-play the fact that there were original black muurish Japanese.

Perhaps it is because they stole the land from the indigenes. Perhaps they do not want to recall the true owners of the beautiful land which they stole, the land belonging to another Asiatic black people, the Ainus, the last Muurs of Japan.

Congo is 80 times the size of Belgium, yet Belgium colonized Congo from 1908 until 1960. 64yrs ago (1958), Belgium still operates the "human zoo" where human beings taken from Africa, especially Congo, are on display for the fun of the colonial masters and their families. If Africa wrote her story, both Bible and the Quran would be few verses in it. That's how deep our histories are. Sadly, today, Africans are busy telling each other the stories of Noah, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed and co while many have no clue about their own African stories. We even kill each other because of the differences in the stories we know of the Arabs and the Jews.

Ghadafi, one of the greatest pan Africanist.
He printed images of his role models who are African inspiring leaders we should celebrate.

They brainwashed you and told you all the lies in the world to paint him bad.

Under Ghadafi, Libya was a prosperous and rich country and Ghadafi also ensured the stability of the whole region.

For standing for the unity of Africa and standing against imperialist, they killed him in cold blood.

They feasted on Tripoli and left the whole region in chaos.

The rest is history.

Ghadafi is an African hero.

How Idi Amin Renamed Colonial Roads, Lakes & Mountains So As To Decolonise Uganda

Article by Faustin Mugabe, Daily Monitor Researcher/Historian.

On December 17, 1972, former president Idi Amin made a proclamation that led to the renaming of some of Uganda’s physical features such as national parks, lakes and roads.

The promulgation was made on national radio and television following a campaign he had started codenamed “Uganda’s economic war” in which he expelled Indians, Israelis and the British. Amin told the nation that he had decided to rename those physical features because their colonial names were insignificant to independent Ugandan.

“I have decided that Queen Elizabeth National Park shall henceforth be known as Rwenzori National Park and the Murchison Falls as well as the Murchison Falls National Park shall henceforth be known as Kabalega Falls and Kabalega National Park,” he announced.

“Kabalega is a name that is very important. The king of Bunyoro determinedly fought the British who were advancing into Uganda from Sudan and several battles routed them. It was only after the British had been on alliance with a neighbouring local king that Kabalega was finally subdued. Names like Kabalega have much more meaning for the people of Uganda than names like Murchison which are foreign and of whose origin and significance not many people in Uganda are aware of.”

Lake Albert was renamed Lake Idi Amin Dada while Lake Edward was renamed after his friend the president of Zaire, Mubutu Sese Seko. Lake Victoria was given back its Kiganda name, Nalubaale.

“In addition, we have decided to change the names of a number of roads in Kampala as follows,” Amin said.

“1. Prince Charles Drive becomes 25 January Avenue to signify the date of the birth of the second Republic of Uganda. You are aware that the battle for our nation was commanded from the command post which lies on the new 25 January Avenue and it is only fitting that a place that important in our country should be served by a road whose name has a real meaning in our national history.

2. Queen’s Road becomes Lumumba Avenue. As the people of Uganda and Africa know, Patrice Lumumba is one of the greatest Africans that have ever lived. He strongly fought against the imperialists and Zionists for the freedom of Africa. It was due to his courageous and uncompromising stand against these evils that he was assassinated. He was a strong national and international leader. It would be a good thing for all Africans to follow the teachings, practices and principles of Patrice Lumumba.

3. Salisbury Road becomes Nkrumah Road. Kwame Nkrumah as again you will be aware was another great African who tirelessly struggled against imperialism for the liberation of the whole of Africa. He was a firm advocate of African Unity and a great pan-Africanist. He greatly contributed to the founding of the Organisation of African Unity. We must honour his memory.

4. Rosebury Road becomes Nasser Road. Gamel Abdul Nasser fought the imperialists and Zionists until his death and that is why they always hated and feared him. We know that the fire of his teachings and beliefs still blaze strong in the whole of Africa, the Arab world, Asia and Latin America. We must remember his courageous stand for the freedom of Africa and the Arab world.

5. Hunter Road in Bugolobi becomes Luthuli Avenue. The late chief Albert Luthuli also courageously fought against the racists of South Africa and they kept him in jail for many years. He died an unnatural death and the circumstances of his death are still a mystery. He was awarded the Noble Prize in 1961.

6. Borup Avenue becomes Malcolm X Avenue. Malcolm X was a strong Afro-American political leader who bravely exposed and resisted the activities of the imperialists. He was assassinated because of his beliefs.

7. Kings Road in Nakasero will be Sukano Road. Dr Sukano was for many years president of Indonesia having guided that nation to independence. He was a strong anti-imperialist leader and he convened the first non-aligned conference which was held at Bandung.

8. Kings Avenue becomes Nehru Avenue. Pandit Nehru was the first prime minister of India which he led to independence in 1947.

He was imprisoned by the British rulers of Indian.

9. Harcourt Avenue becomes Kimathi Avenue. Dedan Kimathi was a very courageous nationalist and freedom fighter who as a Mau-Mau leader physically and for many years fought imperialism in Kenya until he was slain in battle.

10. Stanley Road becomes Akii-Bua Road: John Akii-Bua as you know was the first Ugandan to get a gold medal at the Olympic Games when he completed first in Munich in august this year. His performance was a world record. Which I know will stand for a long time.”

At the official renaming of Queen’s Road to Lumumba Avenue on January 18, 1973, Amin said: “It is time we took stock of ourselves with a view to restoring our cultural heritage, human dignity and respect which has hitherto been denied to us by forces of imperialism and their agents.”

“To fight against the forces of imperialism and Zionism; and to succeed in this fight, we must believe and practice true nationalism as our guiding principle.”

He also warned Africans never to forget that imperialists were in Africa for their own selfish interests and not for African interests.

“In addition, we have decided that subject to consultations with Kenya, Mt Elgon will be known as Mt Masaba. Although most of Lake Victoria is in Uganda, we shall make immediate consultations with our neighbours Kenya and Tanzania with a view to agreeing on a new name for Lake Victoria,” he said.

Because of that technicality, the name Lake Victoria remained unchanged. But later when the Kenyan government accepted Amin’s proposal, Mt Elgon was changed to Masaba Mountain.

“The changes in the names of roads, national parks and mountain I have announced tonight are only the beginning of what must be a concerted campaign to make similar changes in respect of all roads, institutions, etc. bearing colonial and imperial names in Uganda,” he said.

“I want to ask all urban and local authorities and institutions to make immediate arrangements to change meaningless foreign names of roads, streets etc. in their areas and to replace them with meaningful African or other names as indicated above. The proposal should be submitted to the Cabinet for approval before any road or institution is renamed.”

As a result of this decree, districts such as Rukungiri, Mbale and Arua have a road named Republic road or street after the Second Republic of Uganda.

It was also after this decree that roads in Uganda were named after Ugandans. In Rukungiri District, for instance, a road was named after Karegyesa, a former minister and Member of Parliament.

In Jinja District, many roads such as Nadiope, Luba (Lubas) and Gabula were named after local leaders and politicians.

Unfortunately, when Amin fell in 1979, most of the colonial names were reinstated.

160 years ago today in 1862, Robert Smalls escapes slavery by piloting the Confederate gunboat CSS Planter to the Union blockade.

Robert was born in Beaufort, South Carolina in 1839. His father Henry Mckee was also his white master. Henry favored his son more than the other slaves and treated him well by educating him and allowing him to learn professions/skills he enjoyed. At a young age Robert became infatuated with ships and sailing. In Charleston harbor his father hired him out to others and he worked as a longshoreman, a rigger, a sail maker, and eventually became a wheelman and pilot, an achievement no other slave earned. At 17 years old he was allowed to marry and start a family, his father also let him keep some of the wages of being hired out and Robert’s goal was to save enough money to buy freedom for his wife and children. Although this process would be slow and take decades.

In 1861 a war between South Carolina and United States of America broke out and Smalls was assigned to pilot/steer the CSS Planter, a lightly armed military transport. He did his duty with great skill for the first year of the war and earned the confidence and trust of the Planter’s crew and owners. However while in Charleston harbor, Smalls was aware that the blockading Union fleet was nearby and began a plan to escape with his family. On the night of May 12th, 1862 the Planter docked in Charleston and the white officers disembarked and left the slave crew to sleep onboard as usual. On May 13th at 3am, Smalls put on a Confederate officer’s uniform to put his plan into action with the other slaves and began to steer the ship out of the harbor. Charleston harbor was the most fortified harbor in the world at this point and Smalls navigated past 5 forts with multiple checkpoints by using the signals he was familiar with. Along the way the slave crew picked up their wives and children at a rendezvous point. As they successfully made their way past the Confederate defenses, the danger was not over and the slaves were terrified that the Union would attack their ship.

The USS Onward spotted the Planter and prepared to fire on it. As the cannons were being aimed, loaded, and about to be lit, an officer noticed a white flag on the Planter and ordered a cease fire. As the Planter approached the Onward, onboard the slaves were seen hugging each other and dancing with celebration knowing they were safe. Robert Smalls broke the silence by taking off his hat and shouting at the Union officer, “Good morning, sir! I've brought you some of the old United States guns, sir!' Smalls would continue to pilot the Planter in Union service for the remainder of the war with distinguished service and survived 17 engagements. Smalls’s escape and service elevated him to celebrity status in the Union and helped convinced many of the intelligence and capabilities of freed African slaves.

After the war, Smalls participated in several successful business ventures with former slaves and became a prominent citizen with the locals. In the 1870’s as a member of the Republican Party, he was elected to the House and Senate of South Carolina and then eventually to the United States House of Representatives. Smalls’s political career was eventful and complex as he still faced discrimination from Northerners and even other blacks who were resentful to his mulatto heritage. His life was also threatened on numerous occasions by Democrats who were resentful to his elevation. As Union occupation ended and Democrats regained control of South Carolina’s local institutions, they targeted Smalls with offenses and at one point imprisoned him. While bogged down from South Carolina’s political machines, Smalls still managed to be a successful legislator. Small’s would purchase his father/former master’s old home and live there with his family. He would remain a prominent public figure until the end of his life when he died at the age of 75 from natural causes in 1915.

Freedom fighter, Major Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro (September 10, 1938 – May 9, 1968) after his arrest, March 7, 1966.
Before Ojukwu, there was Boro. Before Biafra, there was the Niger Delta Republic.
Boro was an undergraduate student of Chemistry and student union president at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, but he left school to lead an armed protest against the exploitation of oil and gas resources in the Niger Delta areas which benefited mainly the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Eastern region with capital at Enugu.
Boro believed that the people of the area deserved a larger share of the proceeds of the oil wealth because nothing was given to the Niger Delta people. He formed the Niger Delta Volunteer Force, an armed militia with members consisting mainly of his fellow Ijaw ethnic group, declared the Niger Delta Republic on February 23, 1966, and fought Nigeria's federal forces for 12 days but were eventually defeated.
Boro and his comrades were then jailed by the Aguiyi-Ironsi Federal Military Government for treason.
Before he declared the Niger Delta Republic, Boro's father, a learned educationist, had offered his son sponsorship abroad to further his education rather than take up arms against the government. The senior Boro feared that the action would ruin the family but Boro rejected his father’s offer.
He explained that: "The Ijaws were going into perpetual bo***ge; if we do not strike now, not only our families but also the entire Ijaws would be infernally chained.”
On his declaration of the secession of the Niger Delta Republic on February 23, 1966, Boro exclaimed:
"Today is a great day, not only in your lives but also in the history of the Niger Delta. Perhaps, it will be the greatest day for a very long time. This is not because we are going to bring the heavens down, but because we are going to demonstrate to the world what and how we feel about oppression.
"Remember your 70-year-old grandmother who still farms before she eats; remember also your poverty-stricken people; remember, too, your petroleum which is being pumped out daily from your veins; and then fight for your freedom.
"Before today, we were branded robbers, bandits, terrorists, or gangsters, but after today, we shall be heroes of our land."
However, Boro went on to fight for Nigeria against Biafra during the Civil War but was killed under mysterious circumstances in active service on May 9, 1968, at Ogu (near Okrika) in Rivers State. He was 29.

Sandawe people

Although the Khoisan were originally thought to possess the oldest human DNA lineages, those of the Sandawe are older.

The Sandawe today are considered descendants of an original Bushmen-like People.

The Sandawe language may share a common ancestor with the Khoe languages of southern Africa. It has clicks and the surrounding Bantu peoples find it difficult to learn. It is unrelated to the neighbouring Bantu languages, though it has been lightly influenced by neighbouring Cush*tic languages.
