Cardiovascular Disease
WORLD HEART DAY 2018
"My heart, your heart: Make a promise.... for my heart, for your heart and for all our hearts".
Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death and disability in the world today, resulting in about 17.5 million deaths per year. Certain modifications and adjustments in our lives can go a long way towards minimizing the risk for cardiovascular diseases such as stroke. Improving our quality of life as well as laying good examples for our future generations can also help to achieve this.
Every year, the World Heart Day is celebrated on the 29th of September. The theme of this year's world heart day focuses on how everyone can make a promise to keep their hearts healthy. A promise as an individual to eat more healthily, be involved in more exercises, avoid or quit smoking and also encourage our loved ones to do same; a promise as healthcare professionals to save more lives.
This video from us at Q-Life Family Clinic is to commemorate this year’s World Heart Day and is about keeping our hearts healthy.
