Nestoil’s prime facility in the heart of the Niger Delta – in Abuloma, Port Harcourt in Rivers State - is a 59 Hectare industrial area which houses a Pressure Vessel manufacturing facility and a steel structures fabrication workshop. Strategic Business Units
Championing global standards of quality is at the heart of Nestoil’s culture – as well as that of its parent company, the Obijackson Group of companies. The structure of the Group consists of Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and joint venture companies that contribute to its business operations. Each SBU offers a broad range of services and has a history of conducting business in Nigeria according to the traditions for which Nestoil is rightfully acclaimed. Energy Works Technology Limited: EWT is an ISO certified manufacturer of Pressure Vessels, Process Plant Equipment, as well as Oil and Gas Steel Structures Fabricator also offering EPCC services. Energy Works is capable of fabricating:
• Process Modules and Packages for Onshore and Offshore Production Facilities
• Pressure vessels and Process Piping (Separators, Scrubbers, knock-out Drums, Slug Catchers, Manifold Skids, PIG Launching and Receiving facilities, Metering Skids, among others).
• Steel Equipment and Structures (Jackets, Platforms, Foundation/Suction/Anchor Piles, Buoys)
B&Q Dredging and Marine Logistics Limited: B&Q began as an ancillary part of Nestoil’s EPCC services to the oil and gas sector, but is now a standalone entity providing dredging services to Nigerian and multinational companies. B&Q has undertaken a number of technical, high risk river crossing projects for Nestoil and other companies - a notable on being the single-handed completion of 6 major rivers and 44 minor rivers and creeks crossings during the completion of the Shell Nembe Creek – Cawthorne Channel Trunkline Replacement Project. As a company, B&Q Dredging Limited owns the largest dredging and marine logistic fleet in Nigeria. Hammakopp Consortium Limited: Hammakopp Consortium is a civil construction company, specializing in road and facilities construction. Its clients include State and Federal government, oil and gas majors and private individuals. Hammakopp Consortium Limited has made remarkable strides in broadening its civil and road construction operations and geographical influence with an expansive new facility in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to participate in ongoing civil infrastructure development. Hammakopp still retains the 17-Hectare Hammakopp Construction Base in Okija, Anambra State, and have boosted personnel with the addition of highly skilled senior local and international recruits. Gobowen Exploration & Production Limited: Gobowen is an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company, the sole operator of the Oriri Marginal Field (OML 88). Gobowen has recently concluded the Oriri 2 drilling campaign and is preparing for other operational campaigns while looking to acquire new assets. A Gobowen-led consortium called Neconde Energy Limited has also acquired, in April 2011, the 45% a participating interest in the Oil Mining Licence 42 (OML 42). This oil block contains 12 developed oil fields located in the swamps in the Niger Delta Area of Nigeria. The asset, with nearly 1 billion barrels of crude oil and trillions of cubic feet of gas, was one of the biggest so far in the Shell divestment drive. Century Power Generation Limited and Time Power Global Dynamics Limited: Century Power Generation Limited (CPG) and Time Power Global Dynamics Limited (TPGD) are power generation and distribution companies respectively, pursuing opportunities presented by the Nigerian Government’s policy regarding private power generation. CPG is a power generation company, created as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to acquire and develop existing power plants in Nigeria, as well as build new power plants via IPPs to help boost the nation’s installed power capacity. TPGD is an SBU that was created to participate in the ongoing effort to increase Nigeria’s electricity distribution by increasing customer access to economic and reliable electricity supply in the urban and rural areas, increasing the number of registered customers, and reducing distribution losses. As an indigenous company, TPGD is fully committed to help alleviate Nigeria’s power shortage issue in metropolitan, rural and remote communities around the country. The framework of Nestoil’s expansion strategy has been to expand by identifying insightful business opportunities from needs that did not have readily available or sufficient in-country solutions, then creating well-equipped companies to meet those needs. Every one of Nestoil’s SBUs was initially created to provide for critical needs that arose during Nestoil’s ex*****on of pipeline construction projects. Today, these companies have become authorities in their fields. In this way, Nestoil and its sister companies have pioneered the introduction of skills, technology and knowledge and have been a driving force behind the growth of the nation’s oil and gas sector. This year, Nestoil announced two novel business ventures that bear out its vision of constantly investing in the future:
Nestoil entered into a joint venture to form NestHak, a company that specializes in pipeline construction and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). The combined knowledge offers the best of both worlds: state-of-the art equipment, several years of extensive experience and H.D.D that works. With an experienced crew, two spreads permanently stationed in Nigeria and in-house measuring equipment and surveyors, NestHak’s clients would be taking advantage of sophisticated techniques in the industry. Nestoil is also expanding its facilities and creating further employment opportunities with the new modular floating dry-dock. With the floating dry dock, Nestoil is able to streamline its docking activities and meet its objectives for safe working conditions, more competitive prices, shorter lead times, high quality craftsmanship and overall reliability in client service. Nestoil shipside is able to perform a variety of essential services for vessels and increase all round productivity. To further bolster capacity, Nestoil recently announced the acquisition of IMPaC Oil and Gas (Nigeria) Limited from IMPaC Offshore Engineering in Hamburg, Germany. Corporate Citizenship
Nestoil’s continuous community involvement helps to underpin its commitment to corporate citizenship. Nestoil maintains a tradition of contributing to the communities in which it operates. Nestoil considers its community relationships a vital component of our business operations and its commitment to socially responsible business practices comes from an enthusiasm for people-development. Nestoil’s devotion to CSR is reflected in a number of its philanthropic commitments channeled mostly through its foundation - The Obijackson Foundation, a versatile, not-for-profit organisation working quietly to enhance academics, sporting events and providing the necessary socio-economic support to society. Nestoil ensures that it positively impact on its host communities in tangible ways by undertaking sustainable initiatives to the long-term benefit of the community.
