Married to a snake godess
Episode 1
Married A Snake Goddess
Episode 1
Mike had always been the shining star of his village. He had left home years ago and carved a successful life for himself in the bustling city. His parents, whom he adored, remained in the village, where life was quieter and more serene. Despite the distance, Mike never failed to send money, visit when he could, and ensure they were well taken care of. He often told himself that once he found the right woman, he would bring her home to meet them, solidifying his bond with his family and his future.
One bright Sunday after the church service, as Mike stood outside talking to a few friends, his eyes caught sight of a young woman he had never seen before. Her beauty was striking, yet there was an air of mystery about her. She was standing alone, seemingly waiting for someone. Without giving it much thought, Mike decided to approach her.
"Hello, I'm Mike," he said with a warm smile. "I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. Do you attend service here often?"
The lady glanced at him, her gaze sharp but fleeting. “Hi, I’m Linda. No, it’s my first time here. I just moved to the city.”
Their conversation flowed smoothly, but Mike noticed something strange. Every time he tried to meet her gaze, she would look away, almost as if avoiding direct eye contact. At one point, he gently teased her, “Why won’t you look me in the eyes? Am I that scary?”
Linda laughed, a soft but distant sound, “Oh no, it’s just… I’m shy, that’s all.” But Mike wasn’t fully convinced. There was something off, something unsettling about the way she avoided his eyes. He brushed it off, attributing it to her shy nature.
Over the next few weeks, Mike and Linda grew close. Despite her occasional odd behavior, she was charming, kind, and attentive to him. They went on several dates, and their bond deepened. Mike was falling in love, or at least he thought he was. His friends, however, voiced their concerns.
“Mike, there’s something not right about her,” his best friend, Alex, said one afternoon. “You’ve noticed it too, haven’t you? How she never really looks at anyone directly?”
Mike shrugged it off. “She’s just different, Alex. Everyone has their quirks. I like her, and that’s what matters.”
Despite the warnings, Mike pushed forward with the relationship. After dating for a month, he decided it was time to take Linda to meet his parents in the village. He was excited and eager to introduce her as his future wife. Linda, though hesitant at first, eventually agreed to the trip.
The journey to the village was long, but the couple finally arrived just before dusk. Mike’s parents welcomed them warmly, but as soon as Linda stepped into the house, Mike’s mother, Agnes, felt a shiver run down her spine. There was something about Linda that unsettled her, though she couldn’t quite place it.
As they sat down for dinner, Agnes studied Linda carefully. She noticed the way Linda avoided looking at anyone directly, her eyes always slightly averted. When Linda excused herself briefly from the table, Agnes whispered to her husband, “There’s something wrong with that girl, John. I can feel it.”
John, ever the pragmatist, shook his head. “She’s just shy. Don’t be so quick to judge.”
Later that evening, after some light conversation, Mike showed Linda to the guest room where they would be spending the night. He was excited, thinking about how soon he would officially make her his wife. Agnes watched them from the hallway, still feeling that unshakable sense of unease.
At exactly two in the morning, Agnes woke up with a sudden urge to relieve herself. The house was quiet, the soft hum of the night crickets the only sound. She quietly made her way outside to the small outhouse they used. After easing herself, she began her way back to the house, but just as she approached the door, she noticed movement in the yard.
At first, she thought it was one of the farm animals, but as she peered closer, she realized it was Linda, lying on the ground, her body contorted in a strange, unnatural way. Her arms and legs were moving in a snake-like fashion, twisting and turning in eerie motions. Agnes froze, her heart pounding.
Suddenly, before her very eyes, Linda’s body began to shift. Her limbs elongated and her skin shimmered under the moonlight, turning scaly. Her eyes glowed red, and in an instant, Linda had transformed into a massive python.
