Canada to limit international students' acceptance!

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that Canada will reduce the intake of international students over the next 2 years.

They are only going to be approving approximately 364,000 undergraduate study permits in 2024. That's a decrease of 35 percent from 2023.

According to Canada's immigration minister, Marc Miller, they're doing this with the hopes that the cap will give the federal and provincial government time to limit the number of private colleges taking advantage of high international student tuition while providing, in some cases, a poor education.

Also, starting September 2024, international students engaged in study programs under curriculum licensing arrangements will no longer qualify for the Post Graduation Work Permit.
