How you can save cost on your travels. Continued from the previous post.

4. Ask your travel manager if a transit visa is needed for your flight before you buy.
A good example is if you fly on a visit visa from Lagos to London via any European airline, a Schengen transit visa may be required. the airline may decline to give you a full refund if you discover this after purchasing your ticket,. Also, it may take so much trouble to get a transit visa. So always ask.
We are sure to always provide you with complete information.

5. Arrive very early for your flight.
Make it a practice to arrive at the airport no later than four (4) hours before your flight. This gives you enough time for check-in. If you arrive late for your flight, you will miss your flight and the airline may not refund you for the unused ticket. I
Doing a date change to the next flight may cost you so much; you could have saved money by arriving early. This is particularly so if you live outside the airport city, or far away from it.

For your comfort, Four Seasons Travel Managers Ltd offers complimentary airport lounge use at the Lagos International airport for you to arrive early and relax up to 5 hours before the flight.

6. Travel light if you can.
Some airlines have discounted fares for light travellers with just 1check-inn luggage. If you travel with many luggage, make plans to pay more at the airline’s check-in counter.

At some point in life, you or someone you know will need to travel.
Here are a few tips on how you can save cost on travel in 2023 and beyond.

1. Buy much early.
Do you know you can buy your flight tickets up to ten (10 months) in advance? When you buy several months in advance, you have access to cheap seats on your class of travel, whether business or economy class and get them much cheaper. Also, you can buy at the current airline exchange rate as you do not know what the future holds on forex and exchange rates.

2. Avoid changing your travel dates.
Stick to the departure and arrival dates on the tickets you have purchased. Except for emergencies which force you to change your travel dates. Airlines can charge you up to twice the cost of the original tickets if you ask for a date change.

3. Closely related to point 2 above, avoid reroutes.
A reroute is a change in destination or stopover. This can drive your change cost as much as 400% of your initial cost. For example, if you have purchased a ticket to fly from Lagos to Houston, Texas, changing the destination to Atlanta would cost you a lot to change. Decide on your destination before buying your ticket and stick to it.
