Amalgamation House
This is the iconic building where Lord Lugard, the colonial governor, amalgamated the Northern and Southern Protectorates in 1914, making Nigeria one geographical entity. It was also where cease-fire was declared in 1970 to end the Nigerian Civil War.
Oron Museum, Oron
The museum houses some of the finest carvings, relics, artifacts and other valuable antiquities such as masquerade costumes, traditional/instruments, pottery. The museum also contains an attractive, shaded water front garden where you can watch small boats drifting on the creeks.

The Ibeno Local Government Area is situated at the southernmost part of Akwa Ibom State, covering about 1,200 square kilometres of Islands and coastlines. Since the arrival of the qua Ibo Christian missions from Scotland, Ibeno has been a renowned tourist destination. It was one of Nigeria's most successful Christian missions in the early twentieth century, resulting in the conversion of many Akwa Ibomite in extension, Nigerians.
Ibeno is home to many historical relics of the old Christian missionary journey.
Ibeno Beach stretches for about 30 kilometres from Ibeno along the Atlantic coastline of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. It is said to be the longest sand beach in West Africa with other amazing island beaches.
