Message from Uma's Little Vet Clinic regarding the upcoming clinic date:

Hello fellow animal lovers,

Unfortunately, vet Adin and his team will not be able to come to Little Corn this December to conduct the clinic. This has been an incredibly tough decision to make, but owing to the current weather forecast and the vet’s own busy pre-Christmas schedules, Uma’s has decided that the clinic would be better held in January or February.

We should have an update on the exact date very soon, and will keep the island updated as best as we can. In the meantime, there are positives to this decision to be excited about:

- The team now have more time to gather information on what dogs and cats will need care when the vets do come, which will help us buy the right supplies and understand what operations are necessary

- We have the busy holiday period on the island coming up, meaning we can raise lots of money and ensure this is the most successful clinic to-date

- It also gives us the opportunity to gather a team of wonderful volunteers - please do let us know if you’ll be on the island during these months and want to get involved

We understand this is disappointing news, but urge pet owners on the island to still get in touch so we can get you on the list for the New Year. Please also spread the word to your friends and colleagues, so people who aren’t on these social platforms know about the change of plans.

Increased flights to Nicaragua to get the season off to a great start!

¡Hola, amigos de la aviación en Nicaragua! 🚀 Después de una breve pausa, ¡volvemos con emocionantes actualizaciones para todos ustedes! Debido al auge en el turismo y la próxima temporada alta, les compartimos las novedades en vuelos:

✈️ American Airlines: Desde el 19 de diciembre hasta el 6 de enero, ofrecerá 3 vuelos diarios entre Miami y Managua, ida y vuelta.

✈️ United Airlines: A partir del 4 de diciembre, sumará una segunda frecuencia diaria hasta el 7 de enero. Además, United ha anunciado que, de forma permanente, el Boeing 737-8 MAX será el avión asignado para esta ruta, brindando mayor confort en cada vuelo.

✈️ Spirit Airlines: Retomará sus vuelos a Nicaragua el próximo 5 de diciembre, con tres vuelos semanales en horario vespertino. Para enero, Spirit planea regresar a su frecuencia diaria habitual, luego de realizar ajustes temporales en su flota.

Las demás aerolíneas mantienen sus vuelos regulares, y seguiremos informándoles sobre cualquier cambio.
