In the six months we've offered our Casita for rental, all of our guests have given it five out of five stars and all but two have extended their stays from an additional 2 days to 2 weeks.
Our guests have been incredible and we have enjoyed getting to know them and hearing about the lives and adventures.
A big part of our success is due to our fantastic Cuidadors (caretakers) Fran, Reyna and their daughters. They keep the Casita and property spotless and are always available with a friendly smile and a helping hand.
We hope you can join us for a relaxing stay, whether it's for a day, or a month, we'd love to have you as our guests.

One our recent guests, who hails from Quebec, has had a very interesting journey. He travels solo by motorcycle and one of his first trips was from Quebec, to the Artic Circle / Sea in Alaska and then down to the tip of the Baja Peninsula. On his current journey, he left Quebec 3 months ago and his ultimate goal is the tip of South America. He will then turn around and retrace his route. He originally reserved our Casita for 2 nights. He has enjoyed it so much he has extended his stay to a full week. He's availed himself to the local massage therapist, and likes her so well, he booked her for an additional 1 1/2 hour session.
The Massage Therapist sets up her table on the 2nd floor of the rancho, so you have a view of the ocean, the sound of the waves and the feel of the gentle breezes on your skin.
Our cuidador's friend is a fisherman, and we were able to buy some Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna for a farewell barbeque.
We've asked him to send us pictures of his journey as we haven't been to South America.

We had a first on the beach last week. Some guests of a surf resort down the beach had a helicopter land on the beach to pick them up and take them to the airport!

That's one way to shorten the travel time from Managua!

I would like to highly reccomend Gary and Lisas's rancho! If you are looking for quiet and peaceful place with piece of "privite" beach on backyard this place will meet your expectation at all. Calm neighbourhood surranded by nature, lovely people and animals. Casita itself is well equipped, clean and cozy. 2 times per week is a truck with fruits and vegetables, there is also bread supplier. 5 min away by foot from casita is small tienda where you can buy eggs, beers etc. If you need big supermarket you can go to Chinandega
(bus leaves at 07:00 a.m. directly to Chinandega and return bus from Chinandega is at 12:40). Bus station is around 25 min walk so you probably need a moto ride which can be offered by Gary's keeper (same as fresh fish and see food delivery from local market). We enjoyed it much!

10/10. Wow! This place is spectacular. We originally planned to be there a week and had to change plans— and the moment we showed up we regretted not finding a way to stay longer! The gate of the house on the back literally opens to the beautiful beach. They couldn’t be kinder, more friendly, or more fun! They even set up a coffee pot with coffee and sugar for me. There are the sweetest dogs, cutest kitty, and a Turkey with goslings (when we went). Room was beautiful and clean, large bed & great bathroom. We spent the sunrise at the beach and then head to the fairly close by Conseguina Volcano later in the morning (1 hour driving). We can’t recommend this stay enough & will be back!
