We love birding! Our guides and many colleagues came together this week to celebrate the and be able to count and report as many birds as possible in different areas of Northern Nicaragua. We love the results and seeing so many young enthusiasts being part of this amazing experience. Special thanks to all of our students from our Estación Biológica Agualí who participated and our colleagues from Clan Thamnophilus Nicaragua who supported us with trainers and special assistance. The participation of our nature guides Freddy Membreño, Larry Oporta and Ismael Jarquín and Ernesto Ocampo made it even a more special year. What an amazing adventure it was!

If the people we were three years ago would see this pictures, they wouldn't believed all the achievements and obstacles we have outcomed. We started with a GoFundMe campaign, which many of you might remember (Healthy Forests, Healthy People); nowadays we are still innovating in the building of a better Aguali Biological Station; and these programds of Environmental Leaders and Comunnity Environmental Education are some of our biggest achievements.

¿Cuál fue tu momento favorito en este viaje virtual?
¿Te imaginas cómo sería tener una isla en el Caribe sólo para vos?
En el penúltimo día de nuestro viaje virtual nos vamos hasta los Cayos Perla, un conjunto de 36 cayos, varios de los cuales son un importante sitio de anidación para las tortugas Carey. También es el sitio perfecto para realizar buceo y snorkeling.
¿Sabias que en Nicaragua se han reportado unas 790 especies de aves, entre migratorias y residentes?
En el día 28 de nuestro viaje virtual nos vamos a la Reserva Silvestre Privada El Jaguar, la cual ha creado condiciones especializadas para la observación de aves. ¡Solamente ahí se han identificado casi 300 especies diferentes de aves!
Cuando pensamos en costas, islas, lagunas, solemos relacionarlo también con atardeceres impactantes.
Pero cuando estas en el este del país, los amaneceres son los que capturarán tu atención.

En el día 26 de nuestro viaje virtual, queremos contarles que las Islas del Maíz son más que sol y playa. En ellas hay aspectos culturales e históricos valiosos, dignos de ser conocidos por cada un@ de l@s nicaragüenses.
