Our 2024 tour season has come to an end and we say farewell to our ‘home from home’ Iris as she heads to the wharf for some well deserved TLC and her 5 year inspection after keeping us cosy all season long.

Tomorrow is the last day of cycling in the 2024 season!

It's been such a great year. We welcomed old and new guests, and our good old IRIS offered a home away from home to all. Our crew and guides gave their best to make sure you had a wonderful time. And you came and you were all ready to be out here and to make the most of it.

Many of you will be back with us in the future. We are already looking forward to that.

Go with the flow! We wish you tailwinds and smooth paths.

Today the Cycle Summit in Bern, Switzerland, started! A yearly event for cycle tour companies, agents, touroperators. We started with a cycle trip from Bern to Thun. Tonight we have dinner at the Casino Bern and tomorrow we will have meetings with each other.
I only have visited one of the Summits years ago, and that was the start of our Norwegian Fjords Tour and the Danube bike and cruise tour! I wonder what will happen this year!

Our tour from Passau to Salzburg ends tomorrow. 17 guests had great weather, lovely rides, loved the hotels and were very happy to join us.
No Vienna or Budapest, no sailing. But we made the best of it. Now all that's left to do is say goodbye, load our bikes on the trailer and go home. We miss everybody already. Canceling a trip is NO FUN. So happy that we could make a tour ready to go in just 48 hours! Love our team, we did a great job. Thank you dear guests for the faith put in us to pull this off.

24th of September, on the German/Austrian Border

Our tour is nearly finished. It has been a great week. A small group of good cyclists who mastered a long ride with many hills: gear down, max support. The sun was shining all day, the afternoon icecream became a necessity, and we all had a great time. After our ride today, at the hotel Gut Edermann in Teisendorf, we could swim in a pond, and an indoor swimmingpool and go into the sauna. Tomorrow we will do the last km's before we each go our own way, funny enough everybody is going to continue cycling in Europe.
And chances are high that we will meet up again next year, in New Zealand. In November. Stay tuned for more about that!

Our Van has a wonderful view over the Tegernsee as well. (left in the picture, under the tree)
This is a stunning location, hotel Luitpold.
This same lake offered us a great place for the last stop during our ride from Schlehdorf via Bad Tölz to Tegernsee. And yes, great weather.

Today we included a visit of the Neuschwanstein Castle in Füssen, or a longer bike ride to Oberammergau. Again a great sunny day, with a nice locally made icecream to top it of!

This has been a day to remember. 63 km of ups and downs, mastered with our Gazelle E-bikes, great views, lovely countryroads and a beautiful hotel with an infinity pool.
