โ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ถ โ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฌ๐ด๐ข๐ข๐ซ!!!
As much as the Americans have made Halloween popular, it's Europe where all the creepy stories originate. Think Dracula and you have Romania (Bran Castle, Bran, Romania). Think vampires and you have the most creepy museum in the city of love, Paris: Musรฉe de Vampires, with a collection including anti-vampire protection kits and mummified cats. Think woman in white, and you have the White Lady of the Tower of London, U.K.. You get the picture ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ
BUT--this picture today is taken along ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ก๐ญ in ๐๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฆ. "Gracht" means canal in Dutch, and Prinsengracht is one of four canals belonging to the canal belt in the center of Amsterdam. The 400-year-old canal named after the Prince of Orange was constructed in 1612 and it's flanked by numerous monumental buildings such as:
๐ A crow-stepped gable on the corner with the Brouwersgracht at Prinsengracht 2โ4.
๐ The Anne Frank House from 1635 with the Secret Annex from 1740 at Prinsengracht 263 (near the Westertoren).
๐ The 17th-century Deutzen Hofje at Prinsengracht 899.
And of course there's no better way to see all the monuments and monumental canal houses on the Prinsengracht than being on a river cruise with Romanow Cruises!
