Most tours are guided by Marion Baumgarten, who offers you the unique perspective of having lived on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean and, therefore, is intimately familiar with the difference in lifestyles between Amsterdam and New Amsterdam! We offer three different Amsterdam walking tours, each showing off a part of the city we love in distinct ways. If you are interested in more Amsterdam city

tours, we can arrange other walking tours on request, such as tours of Jewish Amsterdam, and “In the footsteps of Rembrandt,” as well as bus tours of Amsterdam. Alternatively if you are looking to see more of the Netherlands, we can arrange sightseeing excursions to the surrounding villages and countryside or to other Dutch cities such as the government city, Den Haag (The Hague, seat of the Dutch government), and the vibrant seaport of Rotterdam, or Delft, home of “Delft’s Blauw.”

Amsterdam gaat groepsrondleidingen op de Wallen per 1 januari verbieden. Het college van B en W heeft besloten dat toeristen vanaf die datum niet meer in groepen langs de prostitutieramen mogen worden rondgeleid.

Dit klopt helemaal! Maar Amsterdammwrs protesteren niet... Het gemeentebestuur kan in alle opzichten doen wat het wil....

Het Amsterdamse openbaar vervoer is er behoorlijk op achteruit gegaan sinds de introductie van de Noord/Zuidlijn en trams en bussen andere routes zijn

Visiting Amsterdam’s newest hotel, the Jakarta, which was built according to latest ecological norm. What a delightful hotel it turned out to be, complete with small rainforest next to bakery (where they bake all their own bread), next to beautiful swimming pool with deckchairs to relax and enjoy ;and memberships at reasonable rates for the local population), wellness centre and various bars & restaurants, all with beautiful view! And a lovely warm, hospitable staff! What an experience! Definitely to be recommended! www.hoteljakarta.amsterdam
