Meet Diarmuid!✨

It’s his first season here as a host at Friendship. What he enjoys about the job is the opportunity to share his love for Amsterdam with people from all over the world. He loves chatting, telling stories, meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories. It doesn’t just make each day different, but every tour unique!

When he’s not working, you can usually find him at his local spot, chatting away to anyone who will listen.

A fun fact about him is that over the past five years, he’s lived in 15 different places across three countries, with his shortest stay being one month and the longest one and a half years.

Our Captain Niels has been cruising with Friendship Amsterdam for over 1.5 years, entertaining guests with his love for the city, always mixed with a touch of classic Amsterdam humor. When he’s not guiding our cruises, you’ll find him enjoying the park with his dog Roxy.

De unieke, design en trendy boten kennen een rijke geschiedenis, maar worden door Friendship zelf verbouwd tot luxueuze schepen. Door liefde en passie voor het vak krijgen authentieke sloepen en slepers alle comfort en luxe van nu.

Geniet op deze unieke schepen van de mooie stad zoals ‘locals’ dat doen. Al onze boten varen 100% elektrisch.

With the luxurious and personal cruise through the canals of Amsterdam you will enjoy ‘The Ultimate Amsterdam Experience’. We will provide you with excellent service, from your reservation up to the cruise. We can serve you a lovely gin-tonic while you’re enjoying a homemade burger. A 2 Michelin star lunch or dinner in collaboration with 5 star Hotel De L’Europe is one of the many possibilities on board of our boats. We are pleased to provide you with any possible information.
