🌿 Olkeri Camp by is beautifully located in Randelin, on the border of Tarangire National Park, Tanzania. Nestled among majestic baobab trees and beside a waterhole, it offers a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness.

What makes Olkeri truly special are the experiences they offer: walking safaris, night game drives, and fly camping—a highly adventurous, private, and unique bush camping experience.

📸 On our recent fly camping adventure, we hiked to a satellite camp through riverbeds, spotted wildlife, and dined by a bushfire. Falling asleep under a starlit sky, surrounded by nature’s sounds, was unforgettable. 🦓

Tarangire, Tanzania’s sixth-largest national park, is known for the stunning landscapes of savannahs, woodlands, rivers, and iconic baobab trees.

One of our favorite places to stay here is the luxurious Mpingo Ridge camp. Perched on a ridge, the camp offers breathtaking views of the Tarangire River and valley. It’s a relaxing destination on its own and a perfect starting point for a safari.

The suites are nicely designed and spacious, offering incredible views from your deck. A special feature is the private outdoor bathtub—perfect for soothing the soul and washing away the African dust after a day on safari.

Ever dreamed of being surrounded by giraffes? 🦒 We recently visited the enchanting , one of Nairobi’s most iconic landmarks. Built in the 1930s, this historic gem exudes old-world safari charm and is home to a herd of endangered Rothschild giraffes.

Beyond its beauty, Giraffe Manor is committed to conservation. The manor plays a key role in the preservation of the Rothschild giraffe, supporting breeding programs and raising awareness about these majestic creatures.

🐘 🇰🇪 When in Nairobi, you cannot miss visiting the Sheldrick Trust, a place where conservation and compassion come together to protect Kenya’s elephants.

We always love bringing families here; it’s a wonderful experience for all ages to learn about wildlife conservation. At the Sheldrick Trust, you’ll witness rescued elephant orphans being lovingly rehabilitated, a moving experience. Each elephant has a story, and you can even foster one, helping it return to the wild. Every visit supports their mission, making it a meaningful experience!

Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Meru, is a place full of charm and history. Dating back to 1959—one of the oldest in Northern Tanzania. A good place to stay for a night (or more) after visiting Arusha National Park.

Ask their barista for a kahawa ☕️ while relaxing in the garden. The garden feels like a little jungle, where monkeys such as colobus and other wildlife play. Nearby, water buffalo relax by the dam, while birds gather. The vintage ‘Queen of the Night’ cactus 🌵 is particularly impressive.

Congratulations to all the cyclists who finished the ! 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏼 Well done, unforgettable stages ⛰️🚵‍♀️, face to face with wildlife, and experiencing the AMREF projects firsthand. A week full of adventure and impressions. Yesterday, the participants handed over the cheque to AMREF! A contribution to healthcare in Africa.

We are proud to have contributed as a partner of the Africa Classic. For all participants who went on safari after the event, we made a donation. We hope everyone can now relax, wash off the dust, and recharge. Enjoy the safari or your time on Zanzibar. 🇹🇿

And for those who will come back later to travel in Tanzania, we will continue to donate to AMREF.

Africa Classic 2024 kicks off! 🦒🏔️🚴🏻‍♀️ An epic mountainbike journey across Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes, all in support of projects. Over the next week, the participants will cycle around the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, an unforgettable adventure for an important cause. Rhinos are large, herbivorous mammals with thick skin and one or two horns, known for poor vision but strong senses of smell and hearing, and are endangered due to poaching. With only 27,000 rhinos left in the wild*, we must act now to protect them from poaching and habitat loss. Support conservation efforts and spread awareness to ensure these giants thrive for generations to come.

🌍 Today we’re celebrating and giving a big shoutout to the amazing men and women who protect wildlife and nature around the globe. 🌿🦁

On our safaris, we’ve met many wonderful rangers with inspiring stories. Today, we want to share the story of Caris, a ranger we met in Mkomazi National Park.

Caris grew up in Ngorongoro with his Masai family. As a kid, he would walk with the family cattle and take care of them. During these walks, he wondered who took care of the wildlife like he did for the cows. This curiosity led him to become a ranger.

We hope to meet you again, Caris! And a huge thanks to all the rangers for the amazing work they do every day to protect treasured wilderness. 👏🏼👏🏾

World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide on July 31st to commemorate Rangers killed or injured in the line of duty and to celebrate the work Rangers do to protect the planet’s natural treasures and cultural heritage.
